I dare to announce that I’m running the most colorful blog in Poland You know how big my love to colors, shades, and unexpected combinations is. My seasonal color type (more about it in a second) lets me experiment and do things that are coherent with my character It’s high time for me to share my knowledge and experience when it comes to choosing colors. Are you ready? YES! Today we’ll make a seasonal color analysis together I’m very curious of your results!
Sit back and relax, facing the window. The best time do your analysis is between 10 am and 2 pm. Take your make up off, and grab your mirrors First task – are you a COLD , or a HOT type? Have a look at your eyes: are they ice blue, grey, dark brown, or hazel? – if yes, it’s the first step to the cold If blue, hazel, green – you might be hot. Then have a look at your wrist (the inner side). You see the veins. Are they greenish, or blue-ish? Green mean hot, blue are cold Hair. Of course we’re talking about the natural one. If it’s cold (fair blonde to deep black), you’re cold as ice If it’s warmer (thatch blondes, ginger, chestnut brown) – it gets hot
Ok, now that you know if you’re hot or cold, now it’s time for the seasons of the year: SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN, WINTER. Just like in nature. And it goes (starting from the 2 hot ones:
A. SPRING – always very delicate and subtle, with intense eye color. Their complexion seems to be sunny and full or shine. The hair is never dark. It’s a bit ginger, beige.
B. AUTUMN – the complexion is very fair, or, just the opposite – dusky. Anyway, its shade is al-ways warm. Just as the hair, but it’s always darker than spring – from classy carrot to deep chestnut. Freckles are often on their faces. The eyes seem a bit foggy, whites, a bit yellowish.
C. SUMMER – your complexion is greyish, ashen. Eve dusky summers have cooler complexion than for example the springs. Their eyes have very often this characteristic darker ring around the iris. They’re blue, grey-blue, or hazel.
D. WINTER – dark hair (blondes are extremely rare), very fair complexion, or very dusky, nothing in between. Eyebrows and eyelashes ALWAYS dark, black, or almost black.
And now let’s move to the highest level of illumination There are MORE CONTRASTIVE and LESS CONTRASTIVE color types in every season of the year. Take a look at the collages and descriptions, you’ll surely find yourselves
Just imagine a hot sunny May day. Beautiful green grass, blossoming flowers, the nature is full of life. The sun is shining, the sky hypnotizes with its blueness. Nothing can spoil the state of happiness, there’s not a single cloud in the sky. That’s what a non contrastive spring is like. Everything is vital and happy. She loves the color of apricot, grass, and yellow tulips. Its complexion is olive, eyes are shiny, and hair fair. Look at Scarlett Johansson: she looks perfect in warm turquoise and floral prints.
Imagine early spring this time. There’s snow still in some places (whitish-greyish), but first flowers are visible from under-neath (orange, blue, yellow). They contrast with the gloomy atmosphere, liven it up. The grey-blue sky and rain are more often mixed with sun. The complexion of a contrastive spring is fair, but a bit tanned. The eyes are similar to first flowers: full of warmth and color. The clothes should be in warm, delicate shades (subdued oranges, khaki, blue). A bit if grey there and somewhere. Amy Adams is subtle and fragile, she knows about it perfectly, and does not wear too intense colors, from behind which she could disappear.
Golden autumn, a beautiful October day with orange-gold sun and its warm light going on the whole world. When one goes for a walk in the park, one can’t stop admiring the colors of the leaves: deep orange, bottle green, mustard yellow. It’s hard to find cold colors at all. Every-thing is calm and harmonic. That’s what Mrs autumn are like: warmth, and they seem to be sparkled with gold their colors can’t be lurid (Jennifer Lopez looks way better in gold than in amaranthine, or cobalt). Brick red, caramel brown, or ivory.
And here comes November Well, there are a few autumn leaves on the trees, the sun shin-ing on our heads with a bit of gold, but there’s more and more dullness, fog, and rain. It starts to get melancholic, people start changing saturated colors for the subdued ones. They spend more time with a book and a tea. In the evening we pull the curtains together, put on the can-dles, and try to create an atmosphere warmer than the temperature outside. Mrs contrastive winter’s complexion is fair, her hair is ginger, she loves laces, old gold and velvet She’s calm and melancholic, just as November evenings are. If she chooses the color of her clothes properly, she’ll look as spectacular as Emma Stone at big galas. Dear autumns, don’t be scared to team warm colors with black and grey, reach for bluish greens, cinnamon, mustard, and old gold.
Summer in nature is a bit similar to spring. There are still plenty of colors, the nature is going crazy, and we’re feeling great. But that sun is way more bright, makes the grass dry out, it’s visible on the leaves. Everything gets more dry, dusty. Imagine that you’re wearing saturated amaranthine trousers. Then you have a walk on a dusty rural road. There’s been a heatwave for two weeks, and there hasn’t even been a drop of rain. The dust goes on your trousers. Classical shade of summer: dirty pink Mrs summer has a dusky complexion, their eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair are very similar (Kate Moss). Their clothes can’t be too dark, they should have a bit of grey, raspberry, pine green. A bit of warmth isn’t a bad choice, but use it rather in accessories (golden earrings, beige bag).
Kids start packing their backpacks to go to school, it gets an bit warmer, rain starts falling down more often, it gets dark sooner. Well, the summer’s almost over. Just imagine the Baltic Sea at this time of the year: cool shade of sand, grey water, steel sky, and pink sunset. It re-flects a Mrs contrastive summer best. Her complexion is fair, a bit ashen, her eyes are cool, hair dark (not black). Take a look at Olivia Wilde, she looks perfect in colors inspired by Baltic Sea : cool sea color, blue, plum, grey. Sometimes with a bit of gold, but only to accentuate the cool nature of her beauty.
It’s the darkest, the most saturated coloristic type. Dusky complexion, black hair, and eyes so dark that it’s hard to notice the iris. If you meet these conditions, welcome to the club – I also am such a not contrastive winter Did you know that there are places in Marrakesh where you can watch palm trees with snowy mountains in the background? Exactly! A non contrastive winter is a winter in a hot land It’s cool, but despite that the sun is shining strongly, and the nature doesn’t give up. The shine and light are the basic words in a contrastive winter’s dic-tionary. The colors can be warm, even though cold ones are the majority (cobalt, emerald, aubergine). The temperature isn’t as important as saturation in this case. Reach for the most intense versions of all the colors! Otherwise your beauty won’t be exposed in a proper way. You’re a real royal chick, aren’t you?
This one is totally cold. There’s at least as many as -10 degrees, everything’s shining beneath a layer of frost and ice. The white snow contrasts with blue sky, and black shapes of trees and leaves. The fair complexion contrasts with black hair. Clear eyes bring attention to themselves. The key to success are contrastive combinations of color in your closet: black and white, cobalt and amaranthine, black and red. Swarovski crystals are a perfect choice, or… diamonds The most contrastive winters have got a very fair complexion, but they also can be dusky, just like Megan Fox. A common element? Strong facial contrasts, nothing discreet. One can’t go past such a winter without noticing it
Aaand? Do you know which seasonal color type you are? Remember that such an analysis is just a hint. Everyone has their own colors, in which he or she looks amazing, and it doesn’t mean that they should avoid all the other colors. Combine, mix, play, test. Respect the rules, but also learn how to break them in a wise way, as only then can you produce a new quality If you don’t look good in gold, it doesn’t mean that you’ll look bad in gold stilettos An orange blouse is too warm? You can always wear it with a steel scarf. Little frauds will help you rescue the clothes that are seemingly not a match.
Witam. Mam kilka pytań
Jestem Latem Niekontrastowym. Niebieskie oczy – ale nieoczywiste, bo z żółtawymi “iskrami” wokół źrenicy a więc czasem wygladają na zielonkawe, czasem na szare… Jasna oprawa oczu. Jasne włosy. We wczesnym dzieciństwie miałam je wręcz białe, z wiekiem niestety ciemniały, i…rudziały. Tzn. kiedy ich nie tunninguję b.jasnym, platynowym “ashem” (taki lubię). to ryżeją, niestety w odrostach :-/ Zdaje się, ze się starzeję nie jak Paul Newman ale Robert Redford Jasna cera, trochę naczyniek, bo wiotka i prześwituje, trochę plamek, piegów, w odcieniu ciepłym nie chłodnym. I przechodzę do pytań.. A skoro jesteś tak uprzejma, to proszę o profesjonalną, jak zwykle, poradę. Niedługo, w maju mam oficjalną imprezę, będę – że się tak wyrażę – na widoku. Jubileusze, przemówienia, zdjęcia etc. Wymarzyłam sobie dwie stylizacje, choć nie wiem, którą wybrać. Jedna – w moich ulubionych kolorach: błękitna (moze lekko wpadająca w lawendę) sukienka, do tego żakiet, marynarka – w kolor beżowy, piaskowy, gorzka czekolada (?), może z lekkim połyskiem. W ogóle kocham szlachetne materiały – jedwab, tafta, len, wełna, aksamit… Lub odwrotnie: błekitny żakiet (bo bliżej mojej cery ten kolor chyba korzystniej?) i pod to beżowa sukienka. Z butami problemu nie mam: myślałam o zamszowych piaskowych (nude) lub czekoladowych szpilkach. Torebka i dodatki to dla mnie na razie nieprzemyślany temat. Druga myśl – to coś odwazniejszego, choć nie wiem czy akurat do mojego typu urody. Marzę o ciemnozielonej, połyskliwej (bo z tafty) sukience, butelkowa zieleń w stylu Scarlett O’Hara. Prosta w swym kroju, trochę stylizowana na lata 50: szeroki dekolt w kształcie V – z przodu i z tyłu, wąskie rękami 3/4, dopasowana w pasie, wąski doł, trochę taka tuba-spódnica, ołówkowa, w kolano. Buty już mam :-)) oczywiście zielony zamsz czółenka. Nie wiem jaki żakiet do tego – również jakiś beż, taupe ? a dodatki? makijaż ?… Przepraszam za tą epopeję, ale sądzę ze Ty wiedziałabyś co wybrać.
