I have never been able to flat pick. I still can't. But, these picks get me the closet to flat picking that I have ever been. I've used the Dunlop .60 and the .38. It's a true goldilocks story. .60 is good but a bit stiff for a newbie. .38 is like trying to pick with a piece of paper. Fun to play around with but not great long term. The .46 is "just right". I've tried the .46 pick in other brands and they just aren't right. If you're a newbie at flat picking (I've played for 45+ years, just not flat picking) it is my opinion that you should definitely try this pick.

Nothing else even comes close. I've been using JD.73MM for nigh-on thirty years now. I've tried a lot of different kinds, but this is the only one that will do.

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .73mm Verified Purchase

I play with the Dunlop Tortex picks now which are Excellent. I have nerve damage in my fretting hand and fingers so, these Dunlop extra grip picks allow me to hold on much better without dropping the pick.... Thank You Dunlop!

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .38mm Verified Purchase

I Play hard on the strings, and after 45 years I'm trying to control myself now haha.. so I bought these super thin picks, and Ill have to say it really makes a big difference. Even if I get carried away and hit the strings hard, the thin pick really softens it up and keeps me in check. Hey its just a pick, but it does give me more volume control on my acoustic.

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .73mm Verified Purchase

I’ve used dozens and dozens of different picks of various thicknesses. These are, by far, my favorite — in style and thickness. They don’t cost much either. I’ve paid 5x as much for picks I like 10x less.

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .73mm Verified Purchase

Very easy to hold on to even with sweaty hands. Also has a nice action with the strings

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .38mm Verified Purchase

These picks are very flexible but still durable. Great for beginners or softer chord strumming.

Well it says Jim Dunlop on them

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .38mm Verified Purchase

These arrived loose in a jiffy bag The correct number arrived The thickness appeared reasonably uniform I wasn't able to check as I didn't have a micrometer. They all had a "chunk" missing out of the top. Some more pronounced than others. In short, not well manufactured, and not what the standard I expect from Jim Dunlop. They appear to work as my playing is as bad as normal.

good quality for the mony

I have used Dunlop picks for many years, a year ago i was using 0.88mm picks but due to a spine problem I lost some use of my right hand and the pick kept dropping from my fingers, I bought sizes 0.33mm, 0.46mm, and 0.60mm and found that 0.046 done the job. I love Dunlop picks.

My favourite thin picks

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .38mm Verified Purchase

My favourite picks for strumming. Super light and flexible, you can really farther the strings nicely. Obviously it’s an individual thing, but if you like thin picks you’ll love these.

Jim Dunlop 44P.38 Nylon Standard Player Pack of Plectrums.

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: .38mm Verified Purchase

These 0.38mm plectrums are ideal for riffling a string but after a while a flat will appear on the plectrum nose. unable to find the remainder of the pack I had before, I was pleased to discover a 12 pack of 0.38mm plectrums still being sold with a medium size lockable polythene bag for their storage. The price is so fair and the ability to buy them is constant throughout time.

Short Life !

Style: 12 Pack Pattern Name: Nylon Standard Size: 0.60mm Verified Purchase

Although these plectrums work great at first they don't have much of a life expectancy! The product claims to be nylon but to me they seem to be of a plastic construction. I have used nylon plectrums over many years and they do not disintergrate-ever! Not impressed with this product but will continue to use while they disintergrate and hopefully I will find real nylon pluckers before the last one of these has fallen to bits

Dunlop Nylon Standard Picks provide the warmth, flexibility, and resilience harnessed by numerous guitar legends to record some of rock 'n' roll's most iconic hits.
Jim Dunlop rewrote the book on pick-making with his Nylon Pick line, giving players more options and more confidence when choosing their picks. Jim created six gauges instead of the limited and vaguely defined Light, Medium, and Heavy popular at the time. Labeled by thickness from 38mm to 1mm, this gave players twice as many gauges and the confidence that they knew what they were getting.
For over 50 years Jim Dunlop Picks have graced countless stages and records across the musical landscape.
From the humble beginning of creating Capos and Tuners in his spare time to completely revolutionizing the guitar plectrum with his Tortex material. World dominating bands like Metallica, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice In Chains and many, many more use Tortex exclusively.
The Dunlop guitar pick line as has continued to expand with many shapes, sizes, colours, graphics, textures and materials.
With truly state of the art additions like Ultex and Primetone ranges. Every part of the of Dunlop's pick line embodies the respect for the player, attention to detail and the sense of exactitude that Jim Dunlop put into his very first pick
