DuckyGram – The First Game Using Telegram Gifts

Telegram is one of the most innovative platforms in the modern web. It is fair to call Telegram a native Web3 messenger at this point. Telegram is also the perfect platform for innovative gaming mechanics. Today, we are thrilled to introduce Duckygram, a game that leverages Telegram’s latest features to create a unique gaming experience.

EGG or Duck?

The duck is a prominent mascot for both Telegram and TON. But ducks can come in many forms, especially in Duckygram, the new collectible Telegram game.

Ducks in Duckygram hatch from eggs (future $EGG tokens on TON), which players earn by completing various tasks in the game and inviting friends. Eggs can hatch ducks of the first level – Doctor, Ducky, PepeDuck, or Duckzilla. Each basic duck has genes such as FFFFFFFF (Duckzilla) or CCCCCCCC (Ducky), which influence its appearance:

Beyond appearance-determining genes, ducks also have rarity, calculated with the following formula:

A duck with a unique set of genes (e.g., 3F and 5B [FFFBBBBB]) will have 100% uniqueness, while two ducks with identical genes (e.g., 4C and 4B [CCCCBBBB or CCBBCCBB]) will have 71% uniqueness.

Duck Incubator

The incubator is where ducks are born. It’s a vital economic component of the game, designed to limit the number of ducks with specific genes. For instance, at the game's launch, genes such as 8F, 8C, 8E, and 8J will be available. Over time, C will be phased out and replaced by D, making ducks with C genes especially collectible.

Duck prices in the incubator will also rise over time. Each subsequent duck will cost more, both in $EGG and in Stars. The price progression for $EGG follows this schedule:

Duck + Duck = Better Duck

Ducks can breed with one another, passing their genes to offspring. Gene inheritance is random – each gene position has a 50/50 chance of being inherited from either parent. For instance, breeding ducks AAAAAAAA and BBBBBBBB might result in a duck like ABBAABAA.

In this example, the offspring inherited 5 A genes and 3 B genes, but other combinations (e.g., 1A7B, 7A1B, or even 8A) are possible.

Parent ducks are removed from the game after breeding, but offspring ducks can breed with any other ducks in the game.

Breeding is a way to create unique characters with high rarity and higher earning potential.

The rarity of ducks directly impacts the most important aspect of the game – farming of $EGG tokens. It's important to note that the rarity of your ducks can decrease over time if other players acquire ducks with the same set of genes as yours.

In addition to regular ducks, players may also obtain an ultra-rare duck, which will always have 100% uniqueness. While these ducks cannot be bred, they are definitely worth upgrading with NFT boosters!

$EGG Farming

All ducks in the game can farm the future $EGG token by being placed on a perch. A duck’s earnings depend directly on its rarity. During the first week of the game, 1,440 $EGG tokens are distributed daily among all ducks on perches.

The profitability of unique ducks (with 100% rarity) will start at 500% APR and gradually decrease. A duck’s share of the pool is calculated using the following formula:

For instance, if there are 10 ducks in the game with a total uniqueness score of 500, one duck with 100% rarity will claim 20% (100/500) of the prize pool, or 288 $EGG per day.

In addition to rarity, ducks can also increase their profitability through Telegram NFT gifts.

Telegram Gifts Utility

Each duck has 4+ slots for boosting rarity, and therefore profitability. Telegram NFT gifts can be used to enhance farming earnings. Different gift types provide unique boosts for different ducks.

Duckygram is the first game to provide utility for your Telegram gifts.

Importantly, you don’t transfer your NFT anywhere—it just needs to be in the connected wallet balance.

Tokenomics

The $EGG token, which will be farmed in Duckygram, is backed by the game’s revenue in Telegram Stars. 51% of the game’s revenue will go toward initial liquidity, listings, and market-making for $EGG. As a result, the game will display an approximate dollar value for $EGG.

A key difference between Duckygram and other mining games is that you can earn rewards before TGE by selling ducks on the in-app marketplace to other players!

Roadmap

Duckygram is available to all players starting January 27. The first week will be a test phase, after which the final tokenomics parameters will be announced.

$EGG farming will continue for 4 months, followed by the Token Generation Event (TGE) and potential listings. The Duckygram TGE and $EGG conversion to a real Jetton on the TON blockchain are planned for May 2025.
