I've noticed a trend here on sexxit about the copious amounts of lube people seem to need when performing the back door arts. My SO and I have never needed lube, ever. She seems to be almost naturally lubricated as there is never any dryness, pain, friction or "pink sock" happening. It is good to the point where I think lube would be almost detrimental to the feeling. She really enjoys anal(I do too) and I've often worried I might hurt her. Does anyone else have little to no issues with needing lube or is there a danger I am missing? We're not new to it by a mile and she even likes it rough/hard after we get going.
I get real wet and we just use that (i hate lube.) Have used coconut oil a couple of times, but generally speaking no we just do PIV first and get all slippery and it works fine.
Interesting. We don't even do PIV when she or I are in the mood for anal. Usually she wants it when she wants it and is already near orgasm from foreplay and excitement so we go foreplay direct to anal. I love anal, yet I can not hold a candle to her fondness for it. She can't put into words beyond "feeling full" and there is a pressure on the in stroke that vaginal or oral can not duplicate, sensation wise. We are afraid the lube will take away from that.
This varies from person to person. I have had anal sex with 2 women. One did not require lube and one definitely did.

I really enjoy anal and unless i cant physically get something in there (my butt plug) then I never use lube. With dicks I've almost never found the need to use lube except when I was starting out. I agree. I think most of the people on here are 19 and really don't know what they are talking about with the chants of "Lube Lube Lube!" Some saliva and some vaginal lubrication are much preferable to some artificial lube. Too slippery wrecks it.
That's all the lube I have ever used right there. Just some natural juices for initial entry and after that there has never been a problem at all. I kept on reading all these lube lube lube posts and there were so many I thought I may be doing something dangerous. The only thing I have ever applied lube to for anal is our We Vibe 4 due to the odd shape and still, it only needs a small dab for the times we skip the warm up play. Yes, we use it for anal and it is so wonderful.
It's just tremendously less safe/comfortable
