She found him under a duvet cover on the floor at 4.30am
A mum who discovered her drunk son had stumbled into the house in the middle of the night and fallen asleep had a huge shock hours after she put him to bed.
Juliet found her son, Stewart, under a duvet cover on her dressing room floor at 4.30am on Sunday morning.
Being the lovely mum she is, she gave him a pillow and he said: "thank you".
This immediately set off one alarm bell in her head as she says she thought "hmm, Stewart sounds very polite."
In a Facebook post Juliet wrote: "Thought it was odd that Stew's car wasn't outside and a bit strange that he would come round in the early hours for a kip in my walk-in.
"I thought his hand looked mucky, but figured it could be that his car broke, and just thought ah well, Stewart does funny stuff, he can explain what he is up to in the morning.
But when she got up in the morning, she got a huge fright worthy of a Halloween trick or treat.
Her husband, Cliff, came downstairs and calmly remarked: "There’s a naked bloke upstairs and it is not Stewart," the Sun reports.
Juliet said: "In the morning it turned out it was a guy called Marc, with a half painted face who had left his clothes in the conservatory covered in mud, with his muddy phone.
"I wonder if he was walking home and threw himself over the fence at the back? Or did he pick up all that mud in the woods? We live in the middle of nowhere."
The mum admits he "looked like her son enough to pass a cursory".
Cliff dropped the Halloween reveller, Marc, off at his home a few miles away from their house.
Although Juliet was very impressed by his drunken manners, saying he was "obviously housetrained" as "he knew not to walk mud through" and had left his shoes in the conservatory.
We're sure Marc is very grateful for Juliet and Cliff's hospitality!
Elsewhere, people were much more mischievous than poor Marc.

A 15-year-old schoolboy has been detained by Malaysian police for allegedly raping his own mother.
According to a report in asiaone.com a deputy police was quoted as saying that the incident allegedly occurred when the 44-year-old mother, who works as a waitress in an entertainment outlet, returned home intoxicated at about 2am, last week.
The woman allegedly slept in her son’s bedroom by mistake and when she woke up, she found her son on top of her, naked. The woman complained about the incident to a neighbour, who advised her to lodge a police complaint.
A police probe claims the accused had viewed porn on his mobile before the alleged incident.
The case was being investigated under Malaysia's Penal Code for incest.

Shocking video captured a man groping the sleeping woman but no passengers stepped in to stop him
A man who was filmed allegedly assaulting a woman sleeping on a busy train has been arrested - two years after the shocking attack.
This video shows the moment 21-year-old Elisa Lopez was molested on a subway train in New York.
Taken on a mobile phone by another passenger, the footage showed the man putting his hands up the young woman’s skirt.
According to police, he also groped her privates parts during the attack which caused fury stateside after the footage went viral online.
Police have arrested 43-year-old Carlos Chuva in connection with the case, more than two years after the attack on October 20, 2012.
After hearing of the arrest, Miss Lopes said: “It’s been difficult, you know. The normal stuff that comes with trauma, the constant fear that comes with all that – its still there.
"I still have my own challenges that I need to face but I am at a point where I can say that I am ready to move forward."
On the night in question, Miss Lopez was on her way to meet her boyfriend when she fell asleep on the train.
She woke to find a stranger groping her thighs and trying to kiss her.
In shock, Miss Lopez punched the pervert in the face and then ran off the train.
The 21-year-old member of the Air National Guard initially had no idea of the severity of the attack until a friend sent the video, which was uploaded to Facebook.
After the footage was originally uploaded shortly after the attack, fuming members of the public slammed passengers for not doing anything.
Those who saw the footage said they felt the cameraman, later identified as Jashmeen Smiley, should have stopped the man from groping the woman instead of just filming the attack.
Mr Smiley later released another video to YouTube defending his actions that night claiming he contacted train guards and police.
He also said he tried to wake Miss Lopez a number of times during the attack without success.
Chuva has reportedly been charged with first degree aggravated sexual abuse.
