Season 1 - Funimation: The Ultimate Uncut Edition
OVA's 1 & 2 in Funimation In-House Dub
Episode of Bardock in Dual Audio (English Dub from Fandub featured on YouTube)
Plan To Eradicate The Saiyans original & remake in Japanese
Atsumare Goku's World OVA in Japanese
Yo! Son Goku & His Friends Return in Japanese
Dream 9 - One Piece X Torriko X DBZ Crossover in Japanese
Sources for the Funimation Dub are the Ultimate Uncut Edition for Season 1 (minus the 3 episodes included of this dub, as they are TV Rip & have never been publicly released on DVD, as only the first 27 episodes were released on DVD, while episodes 28-30 were released in Spanish, they are included with the DVD quality opening & ending, otherwise have been left untouched), For season 3 onward the Funimation In-House Dub DVD's were used. Some minor changes to these episodes had been made, due to the structure of the DVD's, some of the next episode sequences had been left off the DVD's, so I tracked down as many of the original sequences as I could find & reinserted them to make the episodes as complete as I could, since these versions were different than future releases of the anime.
History of Trunks & Bardock: Father of Goku have two different releases included due to different sources, one source being the Funimation original Single DVD's, another being the Special Selections collection from Japan, but both synced with the In-House Dub.
The main bulk of these files have been converted from the sources to H265 MKV's with a few exceptions due to the age of some files as I didn't want to deplete the quality. Due to how different each DVD structure was the files varied in conversion method. Some files were directly ripped from the ISO's with Handbrake, while some files had to be converted from the source after being ripped with MakeMKV, this explains why the episodes themselves do not have subtitles or dual audio other than the fact that the Ocean Dub was never in a dual audio format as far as I can recall due to it's censorship.

My only critique is that episode 7 of season 6 is using dragon box footage. That's it. Hopefully, that will change, other than that, it's just amazing

This is the best collection of DBZ ive found on archive i appreciate this greatly.

This is really amazing! I can tell that you really worked hard on trying to make what you believe is a definitive version of Dragon Ball Z.

Also, if I could make a suggestion, iKaos had recently uploaded a Dragon Ball Z Level Sets collection. I think you should use that for the remaining episodes for Season 1. The episodes may not have the FUNimation in-house dub, but if I'm being honest, you have to work with what you got, and I'll take anything I can get.

this is a great little collection. I have iKaos's release, but it's so unbelievably big, and this fits perfectly for a tablet.
One question, though, even though the UUE does not have those three episodes, will you still load those three episodes so that one could download the complete series from one source and at a reasonable size?

thank you for your hard work, and i hope you're still active on IA and get back to me on this :)

4/7/22 update
I see the episodes you mentioned, but I'm also a little confused, because in the UUE, it's missing episodes 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 36, & 37... I know when it concerns the Rock The Dragon collection, those episodes were heavily edited, so im not surprised if those are missing, but if you can, if you could clarify for me why those are missing, or they never were there to begin with, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Those 3 episodes are included if you are able to download them at a reasonable pace, they are episodes 31, 32, and 38. They were sourced from the [SoM] Dragon Ball / Z / GT FUNi English Broadcasts Collection torrent, but I corrected the encodings by adding back the opening and ending to the 3 episodes, as well as edited out the commercials due to it affecting the flow of the other episodes if you were to play it in playlist form. There were 2 other episodes, but only partial clips, and not full episodes. Everything has been done to make sure that this is a complete collection, and I try not to avoid any issues, and most of the time I recommend downloading the MKV files instead of the MP4's, but if you need to use the MP4's I would say this is the format of the show that does work well with it since it isn't a multi-audio sync.

Absolutely wonderful. Better than Funimation dub. But why such large files?

DbZ has 219 episodes and I recall seeing the buu and cell sagas in bits and pieces with the ocean dub on YouTube. I recall reading in Europe they had these Episodes. Can these please be uploaded too. Please. Someone hear our pleas. Archiver please. Any information would help too thanks.

Thank you so much for uploading this. By any chance do you have the Funimation dvd singles to watch?

Very nice. Please upload all of DBZ ( Dragon Box ) so we can all enjoy the complete content end to end! :D

... perhaps in AV1 or H.265 with a reduced bitrate.

My collection is about 250MB - 300MB per episode

One of the greatest, most memorable anime dubs of all time.
I especially love the music by Ron Wasserman.

It's a shame the rest of the series wasn't dubbed the same way as these first 50 or so episodes were.

It would be nice, if we could all get our hands on the Edited Tree of Might episodes, that were on syndication.

I enjoyed watching this after 19 years, glad to hear as it was from Cartoon especially Prince Vegeta.

I have been looking for this for years! Where can I find from episode 54 until Goku's meeting with Ginyu?

Britney Spears Addresses Conservatorship in 22-Minute Audio Clip
Five years have passed since Goku and his friends defeated Piccolo Jr. and restored peace to the planet. Gohan - Goku's son - and a variety of good, bad, and morally ambiguous characters are back, and perpetually not ready for action! Aliens, androids, and magicians all hatch evil plots to destroy the world and it's up to Goku to save the Earth once more - that is, once he and his comrades train plentifully in preparation. Enemies will become friends and power levels will rise to unimaginable levels, but even with the help of the legendary Dragon Balls and Shen Long will it be enough to save Earth from ultimate destruction?
I find it hard to believe the low ratings DB and DBZ have on this site. This is not only a fantastic Anime, but one of the best stories ever put together in the history of literature. I will stand behind that statement no matter what argument anyone wants to make.
First of all, by covering a story from the main characters childhood all the way till his mid life (so far), Akira Toriyama does something that (to my knowledge) nobody else in modern times has done. I do believe this is something that has been done somewhat frequently through history though in the form of epics and the like, but I can't think of anything else in modern pop culture that follows a character from childhood to adulthood at a relatively realistic pace without making use of flashback episodes, or after-the-fact spinoff series'.
Toriyama does a fantastic job of drawing from inspiration, without blatantly ripping anything off. If you know anything about creativity, be it writng stories, or music, or anything, you know it is completely impossible to do anything "original". Everything has already been done, and has been for a long time. At best you might be able to be the first to use a certain prop (for lack of a better term) like computer technology, or setting, like freshly colonized Mars, but when it comes down to actually writing a story, it will already have been done. The best story tellers we know of, with the exception of the earliest recorded stories surviving through history, can all have their best stories traced back to prior stories, even William Shakespeare. What makes a good writer is someone who can put just the right twist on something to make it his own. One of the best example's i can think of, is the transformation to Great Apes. There is very clearly a similarity to the whole "full moon, wearwolf" idea, but instead of a wolf-like creature, it's a giant ape, wich ties back in to his original inspiration, which was the journey to the west.
Another thing that is so great about Toriyama's work, is the vast array of inspiration that he draws from. There are traces of ancient mythology like the epic of gilgamesh. Folklore like Wearwolves (as iv mentioned), and countless examples of modern pop culture hits like Superman, and the Terminator franchise.
Yeah, i know, there's a lot of time wasted on grunting, and screaming, if you focus strictly on the dialogue, but if you examine the whole story itself, it is without a doubt, a masterpiece.
Story:5.5/10
Dragon Ball Z is an anime that holds many fond memories for me (and probably for you too, if you're reading this review). As a kid, I found myself hopelessly addicted to the sight of watching two guys blast the hell out of each other while spewing out iconic lines like "Its over 9000!!" After all these years, however, I have finally gotten around to writing a review of this show. It pains me to say it, but after taking a good hard look at it critically, I found it simply doesn't carry the same charm it had all those years ago.
Okay, maybe it does...kinda. No matter how much criticism I can lay on the series, I still maintain that it pulls no punches when it comes to action. Simply put, Dragon Ball Zhas some of the best choreographed, most stupefyingly awesome fight scenes aound. Admittedly, the fighting is pretty simplistic as the characters repeatedly grow to new power levels and just beat the Hell out of each other, but what it lacks in creativity it makes up for with pure, testosterone-fueled martial arts mayhem.
Unfortunately, flashy battles cannot hide the fact that the show simply lacks the fun and creativity of the original Dragon Ball (which I admittedly liked more than Dragon Ball Z; okay, I will now go into hiding). For one thing, there's no epic quest to obtain the dragon balls here - Oh, they're still there, but they serve as little more than plot devices that pop up to bring dead characters back to life. Yep, Dragon Ball Z is 100% fighting anime - no adventuring, less fun. Given that, the "plot" ends up being little more than an excuse to fight increasingly powerful bad guys. What's more, the fights all seem to follow a given formula. Good guy fights, gets beaten and either
a. Goku will arrive just in time to save them, or
b. Good guy will suddenly become stronger and beat bad guy.
This formula repeats itself throughout the show, so after a while, the fight scenes, stupefyingly awesome as they are, pretty much lose their tension - they just aren't enough to hold viewer interest for 291 whole episodes.
DBZ's major problem isn't any of the above flaws, however, which are possible to accept as common shonen action tropes. No, DbZ's biggest problem is, inarguably, its atrocious pacing. Dragon Ball Z is one of those anime that was unfortunately running at the same time as the manga, and as a result, the show adds lots of filler and massively drawn out fights to pad out the show. The average length of a figt scene, I believe, is no fewer than five episodes - a
