Dragon Age: Origins - Better Sex Scenes Mod
This series of mods will replace all of the original sex cutscenes with edited ones that use a variety of different camera angles, poses/animations, and so on to create more explicit scenes. These are very adult in nature. This file includes a Zesty, Medium and Mild versions of the mod with vary levels of sex scenes.
Note: Might not be compatible with certain Dragon Age mods. Read the instructions carefully.
This series of mods will replace all of the original sex cutscenes with edited ones that use a variety of different camera angles, poses/animations, and so on to create more explicit scenes. These are very adult in nature. If you don't like this or don't want to see it, DO NOT DOWNLOAD and DO NOT COMPLAIN!
These scenes also play in place of the kiss-and-fade you normally get when choosing the "Let's go to bed" dialog option after the first time you've had sex with a particular companion.
This present version is still considered a WIP.Some scenes are not done to my satisfaction and others still need to be extended or otherwise improved. I will update this page as new scenes are done/revised.
I have no plans at this time to do any of the scenes involving dwarves.
All of these scenes were edited using Natural Bodies male (erect) and Natural Bodies or Realistic Look female models, and may or may not work perfectly with other bodies (e.g. there may be clipping).
There are three basic versions of this mod that will be maintained:
These are 30-second scenes, mostly the same as the default game but with some more exposure and better camera angles and so on. This package will not be changed or updated except to fix bugs if any are found. Note: If you downloaded "Mild" before Feb 2, you probably got "Medium" instead. Seems to have been an error in my packaging/uploading. Sorry!
These are longer and more explicit scenes. They can be as long as 73 seconds long (as of today, 28 Jan 2010). Some of them are still 30-second short scenes as I have not yet finished revising them all. This package will be updated as new scenes are revised and/or extended. So far, the extended versions are:
These are the naughtiest scenes. Most of them are the same as the Medium package but a few have been extended and/or had other changes that make them more explicit. So far, the changes are:
- Alistair gets experience: the first time you have sex with Alistair, you get a tender but medium scene. The second and later times, you get a more experienced and naughty Alistair. Applies only to human females so far.
- Witch gone wild: Morrigan at her dirtiest. Applies to human males only so far.
- Zevran gets saucy: An extra naughty Zevran scene for elf females.
More will be made, and this package will be updated as scenes are extended and/or revised.
Submissive Zevran: This will change Zevran from the dominant to the submissive partner in sex with male elves.
A Kiss to Remember: This will make Morrigan's "Kiss her" line play the "wild" Morrigan sex scene. This is optional because this line is only supposed to be a kiss, but I put it here by request. I take no responsibility for any repercussions of using this - if you find yourself having sex in the streets of Denerim, so be it.

Download whichever of the cutscenes packages you want, but only ONE of the main/optional files. You can, however, add on as many of hte "miscellaneous" files as you want.
Unpack the scene archive(s) you downloaded to "My documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/" folder. You shouldn't have to do anything else. To verify that it installed correctly, navigate to "My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/Luchaire/" and you should find a bunch of files there that end in .cub and .cut - if so, you're done, enjoy. If not, you installed it wrong. Try again.
These are packed in .7z format. You will probably need 7-zip to unpack them.
If you are updating from previous versions:
- First navigate to "My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/"
- Delete it, get rid of it, nuke it
- Install fresh version of the mod according to instructions above
If you are using Dialogue Tweaks v.93a or newer, you need only download and install the Dialogue Tweaks compatible file and install normally.
If you are using an older version of Dialogue Tweaks, you should install Better Sex Scenes and then go to this folder: "My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/Luchaire/"
Then delete from that folder any and all files that have "kiss" in the name.
Failure to do so will result in the sex scenes playing twice in a row each time.
Delete the following folder to remove all revised sex scenes:
"My documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Core/Override/Luchaire/"
Here are some related mods that I use and highly recommend:
Dialogue Tweaks - by Vaire. Makes some useful and important tweaks to companion dialogues.
Realistic Look - by Adriangi - great body models to choose from. I personally use the Gynoid Type A model for females (modified somewhat by me). Also has good textures to choose from.
Natural Bodies - by NewByPower - I use the erect male models from this mod. Also includes female bodies if you want to use them.
- Some non-Morrigan scenes: After the sex cutscene, Morrigan can disappear from camp until you reload the camp area. This will be fixed as I get to it. It's minor so it's not a huge priority.
- Some Zevran and Alistair scenes: After sex, in some scenes Alistair or Zevran can "forget" to leave the tent afterward. He'll be over by Morrigan's tent somewhere. This will be fixed as I get to it.
These scenes will conflict with any other mod that alters the sex scenes or the fade-to-black kissing scenes of the companions involved, including such mods as "Sex Movies Always Play." However, because this also makes the sex scenes always play, you do not need that mod with this one.
Conflicts with "Dialog Tweaks" mod. Be sure to install the DT-compatible version of this mod.

Q. Why no dwarf love? You hate dwarves!
A. Well, yes, I do hate dwarves. But I hate Morrigan, too, and that didn't stop me from doing her scenes (although I admit to being tempted to have bad things happen to her). The reason I'm not doing dwarf scenes is because of the dwarf models. They are too difficult to make interact with the human and elf models without ridiculous amounts of clipping, floating, or other weirdness. It's not impossible, but it requires more effort and time than I want to put into it.
Q. Will you do Morrigan lesbian scenes? How about a gay Alistair?
A. Maybe eventually. See above about hating Morrigan. But mostly I just want to focus on getting the default scenes all as good as I can before branching into adding new stuff.
Q. What about a scene for Bella/Anora/Teagan/whoever?
A. See above about wanting to get these scenes perfect first.
Q. But Isabela! Threesomes and foursomes! That would be awesome!
A. Yes it would. But to do any cutscenes involving the Isabela interaction would be a nightmare of epic proportion. Do the math: Between Isabela, the player, Zevran, Leliana, and Alistair, there are (by my count) 48 different possible scenes that can happen. I cannot justify the amount of time it would take to do 48 new scenes for one brief and non-essential encounter.
Q: How come my character isn't naked like the pictures?
A: This is just the cutscenes. You need to install a body mod like Natural Bodies.
Q: Can you make this compatible with "Sex Movies Always Play"?
A: This mod already does the same thing.
Q: What body meshes and textures are you using in your screenshots?
See the "Recommended Mods" section above for the models. The male textures I use are from Natural Bodies. The female ones are ones I made - they are not (yet?) released/available, sorry.

The mod Better Sex Cutscenes for Dragon Age: Origins shows explicit sex scenes. The mod replaces all erotic scenes in the game, offering new camera angles, poses and animations.
Sex sells. Wait.. this is free!!! I don't think anyone should complain as there are creepier games out there.
is that the picture used for this article was actually allowed and approved. It's a nice pic and all but I'm sure some parents would think it inappropriate if they walked in on the child checking out the article.

Yes. Real sex scenes. I often have clothed sex as well. It just feels better.

Yes, and there's gay sex for both genders too. Too bad it's handled poorly, but it's a step in the right direction I guess.

Lol well what is also interesting is when you can sleep with the prostitutes too in this game. You can have your choice of male or female but they all have the same voice and no actual scene. The only love making scenes are with your party and they are only a one time occurrence so CHERISH it!
First I would like to answer the TC and say yes and no. There are sex scenes but they are rather weak and you have your underwear on. Now you can make it a lot worse with 2 mods. There is a sex mod and a nude mod. Those combined can make the scenes x rated. With just the nude mod its R rated. Now I would like to comment on what IronTusk said. I feel they did the lesbian relationship very well. All games I have seen up to this point that had lesbians it was shown as "Oh look two lesbians. How hot." -_- But in this game it was shown as two "people" in love and expressing there love for one another. Now as for the male male relationship. I think it was done horribly. It was just "Hay your gay. I'm gay. Lets ****." sort of thing. I feel it would have been better if they just left the male male relationship out if that was how they where going to do it.
I agree with Black Rose, I SOOOO wanted to Romance Alistair when I was a boy in the game!
You can also sleep with the duelist. I had a three way between her, my character and Zevran (no, really, it's possible.)
