Dragon Age: Origins - Better Sex Scenes Mod
This series of mods will replace all of the original sex cutscenes with edited ones that use a variety of different camera angles, poses/animations, and so on to create more explicit scenes. These are very adult in nature. This file includes a Zesty, Medium and Mild versions of the mod with vary levels of sex scenes.
Note: Might not be compatible with certain Dragon Age mods. Read the instructions carefully.
This series of mods will replace all of the original sex cutscenes with edited ones that use a variety of different camera angles, poses/animations, and so on to create more explicit scenes. These are very adult in nature. If you don't like this or don't want to see it, DO NOT DOWNLOAD and DO NOT COMPLAIN!
These scenes also play in place of the kiss-and-fade you normally get when choosing the "Let's go to bed" dialog option after the first time you've had sex with a particular companion.
This present version is still considered a WIP.Some scenes are not done to my satisfaction and others still need to be extended or otherwise improved. I will update this page as new scenes are done/revised.
I have no plans at this time to do any of the scenes involving dwarves.
All of these scenes were edited using Natural Bodies male (erect) and Natural Bodies or Realistic Look female models, and may or may not work perfectly with other bodies (e.g. there may be clipping).
There are three basic versions of this mod that will be maintained:
These are 30-second scenes, mostly the same as the default game but with some more exposure and better camera angles and so on. This package will not be changed or updated except to fix bugs if any are found. Note: If you downloaded "Mild" before Feb 2, you probably got "Medium" instead. Seems to have been an error in my packaging/uploading. Sorry!
These are longer and more explicit scenes. They can be as long as 73 seconds long (as of today, 28 Jan 2010). Some of them are still 30-second short scenes as I have not yet finished revising them all. This package will be updated as new scenes are revised and/or extended. So far, the extended versions are:
These are the naughtiest scenes. Most of them are the same as the Medium package but a few have been extended and/or had other changes that make them more explicit. So far, the changes are:
- Alistair gets experience: the first time you have sex with Alistair, you get a tender but medium scene. The second and later times, you get a more experienced and naughty Alistair. Applies only to human females so far.
- Witch gone wild: Morrigan at her dirtiest. Applies to human males only so far.
- Zevran gets saucy: An extra naughty Zevran scene for elf females.
More will be made, and this package will be updated as scenes are extended and/or revised.
Submissive Zevran: This will change Zevran from the dominant to the submissive partner in sex with male elves.
A Kiss to Remember: This will make Morrigan's "Kiss her" line play the "wild" Morrigan sex scene. This is optional because this line is only supposed to be a kiss, but I put it here by request. I take no responsibility for any repercussions of using this - if you find yourself having sex in the streets of Denerim, so be it.

Download whichever of the cutscenes packages you want, but only ONE of the main/optional files. You can, however, add on as many of hte "miscellaneous" files as you want.
Unpack the scene archive(s) you downloaded to "My documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/" folder. You shouldn't have to do anything else. To verify that it installed correctly, navigate to "My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/Luchaire/" and you should find a bunch of files there that end in .cub and .cut - if so, you're done, enjoy. If not, you installed it wrong. Try again.
These are packed in .7z format. You will probably need 7-zip to unpack them.
If you are updating from previous versions:
- First navigate to "My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/"
- Delete it, get rid of it, nuke it
- Install fresh version of the mod according to instructions above
If you are using Dialogue Tweaks v.93a or newer, you need only download and install the Dialogue Tweaks compatible file and install normally.
If you are using an older version of Dialogue Tweaks, you should install Better Sex Scenes and then go to this folder: "My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override/Luchaire/"
Then delete from that folder any and all files that have "kiss" in the name.
Failure to do so will result in the sex scenes playing twice in a row each time.
Delete the following folder to remove all revised sex scenes:
"My documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Core/Override/Luchaire/"
Here are some related mods that I use and highly recommend:
Dialogue Tweaks - by Vaire. Makes some useful and important tweaks to companion dialogues.
Realistic Look - by Adriangi - great body models to choose from. I personally use the Gynoid Type A model for females (modified somewhat by me). Also has good textures to choose from.
Natural Bodies - by NewByPower - I use the erect male models from this mod. Also includes female bodies if you want to use them.
- Some non-Morrigan scenes: After the sex cutscene, Morrigan can disappear from camp until you reload the camp area. This will be fixed as I get to it. It's minor so it's not a huge priority.
- Some Zevran and Alistair scenes: After sex, in some scenes Alistair or Zevran can "forget" to leave the tent afterward. He'll be over by Morrigan's tent somewhere. This will be fixed as I get to it.
These scenes will conflict with any other mod that alters the sex scenes or the fade-to-black kissing scenes of the companions involved, including such mods as "Sex Movies Always Play." However, because this also makes the sex scenes always play, you do not need that mod with this one.
Conflicts with "Dialog Tweaks" mod. Be sure to install the DT-compatible version of this mod.

Q. Why no dwarf love? You hate dwarves!
A. Well, yes, I do hate dwarves. But I hate Morrigan, too, and that didn't stop me from doing her scenes (although I admit to being tempted to have bad things happen to her). The reason I'm not doing dwarf scenes is because of the dwarf models. They are too difficult to make interact with the human and elf models without ridiculous amounts of clipping, floating, or other weirdness. It's not impossible, but it requires more effort and time than I want to put into it.
Q. Will you do Morrigan lesbian scenes? How about a gay Alistair?
A. Maybe eventually. See above about hating Morrigan. But mostly I just want to focus on getting the default scenes all as good as I can before branching into adding new stuff.
Q. What about a scene for Bella/Anora/Teagan/whoever?
A. See above about wanting to get these scenes perfect first.
Q. But Isabela! Threesomes and foursomes! That would be awesome!
A. Yes it would. But to do any cutscenes involving the Isabela interaction would be a nightmare of epic proportion. Do the math: Between Isabela, the player, Zevran, Leliana, and Alistair, there are (by my count) 48 different possible scenes that can happen. I cannot justify the amount of time it would take to do 48 new scenes for one brief and non-essential encounter.
Q: How come my character isn't naked like the pictures?
A: This is just the cutscenes. You need to install a body mod like Natural Bodies.
Q: Can you make this compatible with "Sex Movies Always Play"?
A: This mod already does the same thing.
Q: What body meshes and textures are you using in your screenshots?
See the "Recommended Mods" section above for the models. The male textures I use are from Natural Bodies. The female ones are ones I made - they are not (yet?) released/available, sorry.

From the dramatic Morrigan to the always-loyal Alistair, here are 10 of the absolute best romanceable characters from the Dragon's Age series.
Across the three Dragon Age installments so far, there have been around 17 different companions that players could romance. These characters come from a wide range of backgrounds; some are Antivan elf assassins, while others are religious humans with colorful pasts, and these romances are one of the fans’ favorite things about the franchise. With new and old fans alike still waiting to learn who the romanceable characters will be for Dragon Age 4— or at least pick up on a few new rumors —it’s the perfect time to look back on the best romances in the franchise so far.
Some of these characters had more interesting narratives, interactions, dialogue, and character design than others, and, some were much more loyal and provided a more satisfying conclusion to the romantic storyline, too.
Isabela is one of the two female companions that can be romanced in Dragon Age 2 , and she might be a controversial pick. While Merrill is the more compassionate and loyal of the two, Isabela’s romance is just more fun.
She might not be the best person, as she stole a precious artifact from an entire race of beings and she does end up betraying Hawke at first. However, there are ways to win her back, and she has some of the more fun and flirty banter of any of the options in the game.
Similar to Isabela, Anders isn’t the most honest of companions. While it’s pretty easy to win his favor and his heart, he keeps some big secrets and plans from Hawke that end up, quite literally, blowing things up.
However, Anders' backstory as an apostate mage and former Grey Warden is compelling. He also is an intense romance option that ties directly into the plot of Dragon Age 2 and the central conflict. So, for those who like dramatic storylines, Anders is a good choice to pursue.
Iron Bull is the first and only Qunari character that can be romanced in any of the games so far, and he’s not what players might expect given other Qunari in the game. He loves a good battle, but he’s not completely serious all the time, and, for those who like an original romance, he’s a good person to go for.
Unlike pretty much every other option in the games save Isabela, he can be slept with before establishing a relationship. He also has one of the most hilarious sex cutscenes of any of the companions, so this moment alone is worth the work of getting to know Iron Bull.
Cassandra is a character who makes her first appearance in Dragon Age 2 , but she doesn't become a companion option until Dragon Age: Inquisition . At first, she can seem rather overly serious, but her backstory is actually rather rich and exciting.
While many fans are drawn to her design as a tough warrior woman, the one downside is that she can only be romanced by a male Inquisitor. Fans still lament this fact, but, other than that, she’s a romanceable option that’s loyal and offers a rather low level of drama compared to a few others in Inquisition such as Solas.
Overall, the franchise seems to do a better job of making male romanceable companions, as they can, at times, oversimplify or slightly oversexualize the female ones. Also, many of the most interesting female romanceable options are only available for male characters, and this is a shame.
Luckily, Leliana and Isabela are exceptions to this. While Leliana might not be as engaging as the other three romances from Dragon Age: Origins , she still holds up well overall. She’s not difficult to woo, and, overall, she’s passionate and engaging, making her a great option for a rewarding love affair.
Alistair is one character that really captured fans' hearts. He was a major player in Origins , and, whether players romanced him or not, he played a big role in the plot. He is extremely loyal and a bit awkward at first, but he’s a romantic at heart and rather sweet and shy.
However, he can be a bit overly jealous. One of the only downsides of romancing him is that players can only marry him if they're a human Grey Warden. There’s also the chance of major tragedy depending on the choices made, but, overall, this is one of the more epic romances.
Morrigan is the other female romanceable character from Origins, and she’s very different from Leliana. She’s much less open and harder to get to know, and the romance doesn’t end with a pretty bow or happiness. However, it’s still a lot of fun.
Her backstory as the daughter of the Witch Flemeth makes her mysterious and difficult to get to know. She can be easily annoyed, but it’s possible to gain her trust. Players who enjoy romantic stories that are filled with rivalries or just overall enjoy complex relationships in fiction, she’s a fascinating character to get to know.
Fenris is undoubtedly one of the most appealing-looking romanceable characters of them all. He seems like he was made in a lab to appeal to people who grew up loving characters like Legolas, and it’s great that he can be romanced by both male and female Hawkes.
Fenris is rather dramatic, but he will stay by your side once you earn his trust. He has a traumatic backstory as an escaped slave, and he can be rather intense and hypocritical with his opinions on mages and templars. However, this can make for some really interesting conflicts and conversations, and getting to earn his trust feels particularly rewarding.
While many other characters in the series are LGBTQ+, Dorian, as well as Sera, are the only two gay characters. Dorian’s character design was refreshing because his sexuality was part of his story and identity and didn't just seem like an afterthought, but it also wasn't the only thing interesting about his character.
While he is a bit flippant at first and keeps himself at a distance, he’s easy to like right away. With time, it’s possible to earn his heart and complete a satisfying romantic arc.
Zevran might be one of the most delightful Dragon Age characters to romance because he’s flirtatious, charming, and surprisingly loyal. While he might come across as a morally grey character with no ability to make emotional ties, he will stay by the Warden’s side if the romance is completed. The fact that he’s originally sent as an assassin to kill the Warden makes this romance exciting, and his dialogue options are always fresh and entertaining.
Besides the fact that he seems just like a player at first, he’s one of the companions that will fully commit to the Warden and will never love again if the Warden dies. Surprisingly, he’s one of the sweetest characters of them all in romance.

Sex sells. Wait.. this is free!!! I don't think anyone should complain as there are creepier games out there.
