A MOM accused of hanging her two children and sexually assaulting the family dog allegedly planned to take her own life after her arrest.
Lisa Snyder expected to be arrested shortly after her children's deaths - but because she had no previous run-ins with the law, she believed she'd be released on bail, witness Jessica Senft testified in court Wednesday.
The 37-year-old allegedly confided to Senft that she planned to kill herself once she was released.
Synder was the only adult in the house where Conner, 8, and Brinley, 4, were found hanging from a dog leash beside two upturned chairs on September 23, prosecutors alleged.
An occupational therapist who worked with Conner told investigators that the boy had physical disabilities that would make it nearly impossible for him to work the clasp on the dog leash, The Morning Call reported.
While investigating the deaths of the children, detectives discovered sexually explicit photos of Snyder having sex with the family dog, prompting the animal cruelty charges she now faces.
She told cops she owned the dog - a black pit bull mix weighing 50 pounds - but said she'd given the dog away.
Brinley and Conner died after being taken off of life support on January 26, three days after they were found unresponsive in the basement of their Pennsylvania home.
On the night of the hangings, Synder allegedly told rescue workers that her son was bullied and had been threatening suicide - contrary to multiple videos viewed by police that showed Conner laughing alongside his supposed intimidators.
Court records show the accused murderer allegedly Googled "carbon monoxide in a car how long to die," "hanging yourself," and "I almost got away with it best episodes," in the weeks before Brinley and Conner's deaths.
Police said the mom staged the deaths of her children to make it look like a suicide.
The family apparently had a history with child protective services.
Conner and his teenage brother were taken from their mom's care by a judge in 2014, but were returned to her months later, although it's not clear why, according to the Call.
After four hours of testimony, a judge ruled Wednesday that Synder will stand trial on charges of hanging Conner and Brinley.
Snyder was charged with first- and third-degree murder, tampering with evidence, endangering the welfare of children, and sexual intercourse with a dog.
She has pleaded not guilty and remains in jail without bail.
If found guilty of the litany of charges, Snyder could face the death penalty.

A passing mountain biker found the dog's body on March 21 in Washington state.
A Washington man was arrested Saturday in connection with the death of a dog who was found hanging from a tree after having been raped.
The horrific scene was discovered by a mountain biker near Summit Lake, west of Olympia, on March 21.
A necropsy determined the dog had been "aggressively sexually violated" prior to her death from asphyxiation by hanging, Thurston County Animal Services said in a statement .
On Saturday, a suspect was arrested in Grays Harbor County after the local Fox affiliate featured the case with a $25,000 reward for information.
Thurston County Animal Services Investigating Officer Erika Johnson at the tree where the dog was found.
Thurston County Animal Services did not name the suspect, but said he was a "convicted felon whose criminal history includes domestic violence, burglary and controlled substance charges."
However, Thurston County jail records show James Leroy Evans, 33, was arrested Saturday on a charge of first-degree animal abuse by Animal Services and is being held without bail.
Evans' public criminal records show prior convictions for burglary and assault, among others.
Animal Services said they had learned that the name of the 3-year-old pit bull mix was Diamond and said the animal was a therapy dog to the son of one of the suspect's relatives.
"Diamond was temporarily staying with the suspect, a relative of the owner who offered to watch her while the owner found permanent housing that allowed dogs," Animal Services said . "Diamond had been living with the suspect for about four days before he allegedly raped and killed her."
“What this man allegedly did to Diamond is unspeakable; she suffered tremendously before she died," an undercover investigator with the animal rights group Pasado's Safe Haven said . "This person is a danger to animals and people."
"This will forever be a case that is burned into my mind and my heart,” she concluded. “Diamond will never be forgotten, and she will continue to drive me to pursue the monsters who abuse and neglect animals.”

An animal welfare charity had taken the severely traumatised and injured dog to a vet for treatment
VETS have been unable to save a male dog which was horrifically gang-raped and left in a pool of blood with mutilated genitals, say reports.
The dog – found howling in pain near a church in India – died during his third day of medical treatment because of heavy bleeding and having his internal organs exposed during the attack.
Dr Anika Pathak, founder of the animal charity Animals Matter To Me, told Mirror Now that the pooch had been too seriously wounded to survive.
His legs and genitals were injured to the point that medication could not save him.
The brutalised animal was said to have been found with its legs tied together outside the Malwani Church in Mumbai, India, on Saturday.
Sudha Fernandes, who used to feed the dog, saw him lying in a pool of blood near the church.
A rickshaw driver told Fernandes he had seen the dog, the type and age of which is not known, being sexually abused by four men.
He heard the dog crying with pain as the men were allegedly raping him, but they ran away when he approached them.
It was claimed the suspected animal sex beasts were drunk and tied the dog's legs before carrying out their vile attack.
The animal welfare charity took the severely traumatised and injured dog to a vet for treatment.
Vets believe the attackers had tried to fold the dog's hind legs towards his pelvic bone.
Mirror Now reports that as a result of his severe injuries, his body caught infections, and he died on the third day of treatment in the practice.
It is not yet known if a police investigation has been launched.
