A WOMAN has been arrested accused of arranging to have sex with a dog to "celebrate" the animal's first birthday.
Police say Rebekah Little used her Instagram page to find an animal to abuse at her home in Houston, Texas.
In December 2017, she was contacted by Jerrid Cook, who said he and another man named Kevin Cook would bring their dog, Ryder, to the apartment to "have fun".
Jerrid said the dog wanted sex with a human "as a birthday present", prosecutors say.
Court documents say the two men took Ryder to Little home on Christmas Day, but the pet "was not cooperating" with the plan.
"He was too hyper, jumping everywhere," the documents claim.
Little, a real estate professional, told Houston Police that she didn't ultimately have sex with the dog because she was too nervous.
All three have now been charged with bestiality, although only Little is in custody.
Police have put out warrants for the arrest of Jerrid and Kevin.
Because the two have not yet been arrested, full details of their alleged actions have not been released.
Texas state law does not require that a human actually has sex with an animal before bestiality charges can be brought.
It is enough for a person simply to have planned and intended to have sex with an animal.
It is not clear whether Jerrid and Kevin Cook are related.
Texas only officially banned bestiality in 2017, and was the last US state to do so.
Texas state senator Carol Alvarado sponsored the bill that outlawed the abuse.
"I'm glad to see that it's working," she told CNN.
"It's unfortunate that people are engaged in this kind of activity."

Hugh Hefner 's ex-girlfriend Sondra Theodore said she once walked in on the Playboy founder engaging in sex acts with their dog.
Theodore, who dated Hefner from 1976 to 1981, made the allegation in Monday's episode of "Secrets of Playboy" on A&E.
"I walked in once and he was ... to my dog, to our dog," Theodore, now 65, said on the docuseries. "I was like, 'What are you doing?' He says, 'Well, dogs have needs.' And I said, 'Stop that.'"
She added: "I never left him alone with the dog again. I couldn't believe what I was seeing."
In another part of the episode, a former Playboy employee, PJ Masten, who worked at the company from 1972 to 1982 , said her then-boyfriend, who was the head of security at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles at the time, told her of another story involving Linda Lovelace, an adult-film actor, performing oral sex on a dog.
"All the guys were laughing, and Linda Lovelace got out of the limousine," Masten, who wasn't present, said in the docuseries.
Masten said her boyfriend told her that the "Deep Throat" star was "drunk and drugged" when she arrived at the mansion.
"All of a sudden, out of nowhere, a German shepherd shows up. They got her so messed up that they made her give the German shepherd oral sex," Masten said on the docuseries. "You want to talk about depravity? This is despicable."
Theodore seemingly corroborated Masten's recollection of the Lovelace story on "Secrets of Playboy," telling filmmakers: "When Hef told me what that night had been, he said, 'Yeah, so we invited her up and we all watched.'"
Neither Theodore nor Masten provided a date for the allegation involving Lovelace, who died in 2002 at 53 from injuries she sustained in a car crash .
In a previous episode of "Secrets of Playboy," Masten alleged she was forced to cover up the rapes and abductions of two "baby" Playboy Bunnies who worked at the Los Angeles club.
"It was horrible," said Masten, who said she wasn't present during the assault and didn't specify in "Secrets of Playboy" how she knew of the details.
When reached for comment, a representative for Playboy reiterated its previous statement to Insider, which said: "The Hefner family is no longer associated with Playboy, and today's Playboy is not Hugh Hefner's Playboy."
Directly addressing "Secrets of Playboy," the statement added: "We trust and validate these women and their stories and we strongly support those individuals who have come forward to share their experiences. As a brand with sex-positivity at its core, we believe safety, security, and accountability are paramount."
It said: "The most important thing we can do right now is actively listen and learn from their experiences. Today, our organization is run by a workforce that is more than 80% female and we will continue to confront any parts of our legacy that do not reflect our values today, and to build upon the progress we have made as we evolve as a company so we can drive positive change for our employees and our communities."
Last month, Hefner's son Cooper seemingly denounced the allegations recently made against the Playboy founder as a result of the A&E docuseries.
"Some may not approve of the life my Dad chose, but my father was not a liar. However unconventional, he was sincere in his approach and lived honestly," Cooper Hefner tweeted . "He was generous in nature and cared deeply for people. These salacious stories are a case study of regret becoming revenge."
A statement that appears at the end of Monday's episode clarifies the nature of the allegations presented on "Secrets of Playboy."
"This series contains allegations of wrongdoing over decades by Hugh Hefner and others associated with him," it reads. "The vast majority of allegations have not been the subject of criminal investigations or charges, and they do not constitute proof of guilt."
New episodes of "Secrets of Playboy" air Monday on A&E.

PB the Wonder Woman-styled pig is a homage to This Little Piggy (2004) , where Wonder Woman was transformed into a pig. At the end of the film when PB poses, the title appears among the slogans surrounding her.
SPOILER: There is a scene in the closing credits: Mercy Graves, Lex's unappreciated assistant, saves Lulu and decides to team up with her.
Theme from Superman (Main Title) from Superman: The Movie Written by John Williams
We've seen tons of superhero movies before, but few of them about animal superheroes. This is probably why this is one of the few theatrically released animated superhero movies ever made. It works wonderfully as fully CGI! The movie tells the story of Superman's dog, Krypto, who's jealous of him marrying Lois Lane. An evil guinea pig named Lulu belonging to Lex Luthor gets a hold of orange kryptonite, which gives superpowers to animals. The other animals in the pet store get them but are bad at their powers and must team up with Krypto, who's been weakened from green kryptonite to save an also weakened Superman. Apart from having great voices and creative action scenes, this is an all-around feel-good film. Sure, the lessons about friendship and loyalty aren't that unique, but the setup is. We get some really good jokes along the way, and it's spiced up with interesting and creative action scenes, which are to be expected with animal superheroes. I was impressed by the pacing and thought it was only 90 minutes long. This is like the third movie this year I've seen (or heard of) that had Batman in it. He's practically omnipotent! ***
