I was always thin and cute and she didn't like that except when adults would compliment me and tell her that I looked just like her. She has a similar face but she's been fat and not ugly but also not attractive, my whole life. So when the child who was an extension of her was called pretty, she was able to twist it as her being pretty too.

I get that she is delusional but this hurts me more because I know in reality I am only a 2/10 and everyone thinks I am ugly. It makes it worse when she calls those gorgeous models or celebs we see on the TV ugly. Like, if you think they are ugly and I am pretty then you are straight up lying or your perception is very weird.
It is not always about looks, I know this sounds like cliche. I consider myself ugly, I'm not beautiful and I know it, but I have been always very lucky with guys, I did not date 20 men, but all those people I dated I can say, were handsome and each one of them are very successful people.

Learning to deal with being ugly is a hard thing to do. You've been told that you're ugly for as long as you can remember, and it never gets any easier. There are only so many times you can be rejected by a guy or a girl before it starts to make you seriously depressed.
However, my mum always told me my hair was greasy, my eyes were too small, my skin was too oily, my jawline was ugly. Everything wrong with my appearance I had to get an operation or go to the salon and change it. Still I wasn't good enough for her. I couldn't talk to her without her criticising my looks.

My mom has mostly always been unattractive. We even live the same life.
