Does Substratum consumes Battery?

๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธTheir is no such application till now in Android Development Platfrom which doesn't consumes Battery. Subs. also consumes battery but users won't notice that as it distributes the consumed battery b/w the apps usage and Screen On.

Apply theming always consumes battery. Black and Dark themes of subs. don't affect battery backup that much. But using these colours in theming ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

Blue, Yellow, Green, White, Purple, Orangeย

Consumes lots of battery in overall usage and keeps affecting performance as well. Not only this but also, it (sometimes) heats up the device, even in normal usage.

โ€ข Suppose u are using a simple application say Telegram and have applied tons of customizations with subs. Then even in low usage ur device temp. will start increasing gradually. And if u have tons of theming with subs. and u start gayming then #Performance:Batterycons. ration starts varying to a lil. extent.

โ€ข When a user uses an uncompatible theme and tries to (Force-Apply) that, then at first it works but then โœ“ System UI crashes (because of loss of resource ids) โœ“ Device starts heating up a lil. even in normal usage โœ“ Battery affects then even changing kernels won't gib u good battery backup...

#Imp.

โœ“ Subs. is one of the best ever tools by projekt. team, they have the best themers from all over the world. They r not being a 50 or 100 themers family but even more than that. They hab peru themers who provide best ever and (Qualitative content)ย

โœ“ But subs. is not a child's play we should NOTE this as well. No one can learn subs. theming at once, or in one or two weeks ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป Becz. if u say urself a peru themer or subs. peru user and u don't know the concept of overlays, UI/UX, system_resources/layouts concept then one can't be a peru in that.ย

Facts :-

โœ“ Substratum consumes battery (it doesn't means that substratum app is the reason behind it) It means that when u applies a theme with Substratum. Then, it applies that theme in root folder as well. Which means that theme will now act as ur (system theme) instead of (applied theme)ย

โœ“ How mch subs. theme affects battery ?

Not (Very high) but now (Very low) it means IT DEPENDS on ur APPLIED THEME...ย

If u have applied very (bright themes and that type of color variations) then ur bb will go down. Avcording to u that will be enough but without subs. u can get even more than that..

โœ“ If a user uses dark/black themes and such color variations then it will again (affect ur bb) but not that much. It will just be going to drain 2% or even 1% in the overall usage..

So, Theming affects battery backup in the long run. It can affect ur bb (if used wrong theming) If u are using a balanced theme (it won't affect too high)

โœ“ Even stock themes affects bb (as u know better) But the question arises how one can see if their applied subtratum theme is affecting battery backup or not ?

ย Ans - We all might have noticed that in settings-battery-batterystats

โœ“ Their are several common things and one of them is Screen ON (which is on the top everytime) So, do check that and notice the diff. urself. Recording Screen ON consumed battery is not that much easy but if u are willing to know if ur applied themes are consuming heavy battery or not than check the Screen ON battery consumption for several days..ย

Note - Screen On not only shows the battery consumed by theming but also some other things.

Source - No source sry.. I have been using subs. from past 2 years and know these things that's why. I have noticed the consumption daybyday. These things r not copy pasted from any website or so but my personal exp. U can go with battery historian checks for advancements in theming checks. Subs. is super awesome but using it in an unknown manner is bad for bb as well as ur experience
