By Daily Mail Reporter Updated: 12:53 BST, 25 August 2011
After spending the say enjoying the local sites and culinary offerings, Rihanna did what any other 23-year-old girl would do on vacation - she partied.
But while the star appeared to be enjoying her holiday, seemingly without a care in the world, rumours have spread like wildfire that the singer is shortly to be exposed by the release of a raunchy sex tape.
Representatives at adult film giant Hustler today admitted to being in possession of what they believe is a sex tape featuring Rhianna and her tour warm-up act, rapper J-Cole.
Glamorous: Rihanna looked stunning in a gold lame gown and strappy sandals during a night out in Portofino, Italy
Just friends? Rhianna seen here with Drake (centre) and J-Cole (right) last September
'Hustler are in possession of the Rihanna and J-Cole tape,' Hustler revealed in a statement.
'We have seen it and we do not know what we are going to do with it yet.'
The singer meanwhile has flat out denied the tape even exists with a source telling RadarOnline: 'Rhianna is surprised because there is no sex tape.'
Meanwhile, the sex tape appeared to be the last thing on her mind as she headed out for a night on the town in Italy.
The Umbrella singer disembarked the luxury yacht she is calling home at the moment and headed into port with some friends for a girls night out last night in Portofino.
Rihanna and her gaggle of girlfriends all seemed in high spirits as they took the tender to the shore before heading into town in search of some fun.
Girl time: The singer continues her Mediterranean vacation with her entourage of girlfriends
The star looked stunning showing off her bronzed arms and back in a sexy gold silk halter gown which she paired with gold sandals.
Her naturally curly hair was pulled up on top of her head and off her face and she added a slick of bright red lipstick for a sophisticated look.
Earlier in the day the singer and her friends spent time exploring the stunning Italian town taking time to sample all it has to offer.
With wine and ice cream are two of Italy's most popular exports it was only right that Rihanna was savouring both after arriving in the country as she continued her Mediterranean cruise.
After spending the past few days on the French Riviera, the Barbadian singer and her posse of girlfriends docked at the upmarket resort yesterday morning.
Centre of attention: Rihanna took all the attention from locals and holidaymakers in her stride as she walked through the town
Looking suitably Euro-chic in a white jumpsuit, the 23-year-old singer looked like she was enjoying her stracciatella (vanilla and chocolate sprinkles) gelato as she strolled through the streets of the seaside town.
Despite being surrounded by gawking holidaymakers and locals, Rihanna carried on licking her ice cream as she enjoyed a bit of sight-seeing around town.
A short time earlier, she and her friends enjoyed an alfresco lunch, washed down with glasses of white wine.
I'll have the stracciatella, grazie: Rihanna takes her ice cream from the vendor
During their boozy lunch, they shared a toast to 'la dolce vita'.
Rihanna is currently cruising the Mediterranean on the 34ft Latitude Benetti yacht, which costs £200,000-a-week to rent.
The star has chartered the exclusive vessel, which includes accommodation for up to 12 people, two dressing rooms, massage and beauty salons, five decks for sunbathing and dining.
Salute! Rihanna and her friends toast with their glasses of white wine
In the holiday mood: The singer shares a joke with her girlfriends
She arrived onboard the boat in the French Riviera on Monday after performing at the V Festival in Chelmsford over the weekend.
On Tuesday night, she took over a booth at the VIP nightclub in St Tropez, where she also partied with Italian designer Tiziano Mazzilli.
During her holiday, she has been enjoying some of the watersports on offer from the boat, and enjoying lying in the sun in a variety of eye-catching bikinis and swimsuits.
Eye-catching: Rihanna has been showcasing her figure in a variety of colourful swimsuits and bikinis
Travelling in style: Rihanna has chartered the Benetti yacht Latitude, which includes six cabins and five decks

Rihanna Does Whatever She Wants With Her Vagina and for Some Reason That's a Problem

Sluts. They're the worst, right? Always having sex for pleasure and walking around with visible ankles. Thank god we came up with this foolproof slut eradication technique, where we treat women like garbage for doing totally normal ( but gross !) stuff that everyone on earth does all the time! Remember how we used to slut-shame Madonna? That totally worked out. Nobody ever had sex ever again. UNTIL RIHANNA.
Curses! Rihanna (and her vaganna) must be stopped! Fortunately, Drake and Chris Brown are on the case. Michael Arceneaux has a great piece in Ebony this month (somewhat in response to a Russell Simmons piece titled " Get Off Rihanna's Dick ") detailing the latest wave of Rihanna-shaming, in which the aforementioned famous men, who have famously put their penises in Rihanna, rap about how gross it is that Rihanna lets men put their penises in her. Cool story, bros! (Brown's lyrics have the tasty bonus of alluding, it seems, to that time he savagely smashed the shit out of her face: "Don't f—k with my old bitch, it's like a bad fur/ Every industry n—— done had her/ Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her/ B*tch is breaking codes, but I'm the password.")
Meanwhile, as for everyone else so fixated on this notion that there's a problem with the way Rihanna carries herself and brought this attention on herself: grow up. She could have Mother Teresa's sex life and would bring about the "starlet or streetwalker" debate from any man with a certain attitude about women and sex.
To "slut shame" is to perpetuate the idea that sex is dirty, and in particular, dirty and dangerous for a woman. That rigid mindset is problematic as it is unrealistic and does little in the way of advancing the way we discuss consensual sex between adults. You know, any day now.
Weirdly, men manage to stick their penises into stuff all the time without slut-shaming themselves into oblivion. Drake isn't releasing a track about how many chicks Colin Farrell has dropped his panties for (although I WISH HE WOULD BECAUSE HAHAHAHAH). But the problem with slut-shaming goes way beyond the problem of a double-standard. It's not just that men and women both engage in slutty behavior and therefore no one has a right to throw stones—it's that there is nothing wrong with slutty behavior (or, as I like to call it, behavior ) in the first place.
So why do we target Rihanna's sex life so aggressively? Well, first of all, she seems to be truly having an awesome time—and women owning their sexual pleasure veers dangerously close to women wanting to own their bodies. And we can't have that! The more sexual agency you possess, the less of an object you become. That's threatening to a lot of people. Rihanna's not even some delinquent heiress with a sex tape whose only job is commodifying her sexuality (although that's fine too)—she's an incredibly successful artist who works hard on her craft and in her free time does whatever-the-snatch she wants without apology. And isn't that exactly what we want women to do? Whatever-the-snatch? It's almost like there's a right kind of slut (Kim Kardashian?) and a wrong kind of slut (our dear RiRi), and the difference lies in exactly how many fucks you give. Kim Kardashian's entire job is giving fucks (it's called maintaining her brand). Rihanna is just whoever Rihanna happens to be that day.
Luxury brushing Mode is the first magnetically charging toothbrush, and rotates to dock in any outlet. The brushing experience is as luxurious as it looks—with soft, tapered bristles and a two-minute timer to be confident you reached all the crevices of your molars.
But more importantly, Rihanna is very famous, kind of bonkers, and completely unfiltered. She behaves exactly like any average 24-year-old does (plus a million billion dollars) and she has the nerve and the platform to do it right where we can see it. Most celebrities are so buttoned-up and micromanaged that as far as we know they're all smooth as a Ken doll down there. Not RiRi! And shouldn't we be happy about that? There's an entire INDUSTRY devoted to prying open the dirty little corners of celebrity life and digging out the nuggets that prove the stars are human, Just Like Us. Rihanna just hands it all over, shame-free, and now you're mad? Is it just the cycle of illusion/hunt/exposure that we like? Gross, you guys.
Whatever the reason, here is my rallying cry: CUT IT OUT. We need to stop shaming celebrities for having sex when celebrities having sex is obviously our favorite thing . Freaking out about Rihanna every time she Tweets some crazy shit about fucking a leprechaun or whatever doesn't make you hilarious or grounded or moral. It makes you just a couple of clicks above Chris Brown. Because what you're saying, essentially, is that women's sexual behavior is shameful and should be hidden and/or mocked.
No. Women's sexual behavior needs to be accepted so that women's sexual health can be protected. So slut it up, Rihanna.

As we've pointed out time and time again (opens in new tab) , people have sex! And it's normal, and most of the time fun and great! And sometimes, people want to document that fun and great time they're having for a whole range of reasons. Maybe you and your partner want to watch it later and do some play-by-play review. Maybe just the knowledge that a camera is rolling makes the act hotter than hot (opens in new tab) —even if you never watch the video afterwards. The point is that making a consensual sex tape in the privacy of one's own home is nothing to be ashamed of.
But, when you're a celebrity, things get a little (and in some cases a lot ) more complicated. First and most obviously, there's always the possibility that said tape might get leaked, stolen, or sold without your approval. This is why there are so, so *many* celebrity sex tapes lurking on the internet—none of which we will be linking to, btw. Watching a sex tape that you know was released without the informed, enthusiastic consent of all participants is not something anyone should be watching. But the stories of how these sex tapes were released, why they were released, and how the celebs in question dealt with their release is a fascinating chapter in pop culture worth delving into. Shall we begin?
Obviously, Pam's most famous sex tape is her iconic romp with Tommy Lee, but Anderson also made a sex tape with her ex-boyfriend, Bret Michaels. The Poison musician spoke out about his efforts to stop the film's release in 1998, when he went to court and obtained a temporary restraining order against Internet Entertainment Group (I.E.G.) from releasing the tape, which the company said they were given by a friend of Michaels'.
Michaels reportedly spent at least $100,000 fighting the tape's release and expressed frustration that Anderson wasn't fighting harder alongside him in the crusade.
"What I'm jonesing to find out, and I can not figure out for the life of me, is why Pamela is not A) stopping this tape, or B) writing to these guys to stop the tape," Michaels told MTV News (opens in new tab) at the time. "It makes no sense to me. I can not figure out. I have the original copy. I have it. No one's ever touched it. No one's ever gotten to it. I have it, period, end of story, and it's never gone out, so I'm anxious to find out who gave them this tape or a copy of this tape and now they're forced to disclose it. And no, I've never taken a cent, not a penny. These guys have cost me a lot of money, and they're going to pay for it."
Dustin Diamond, aka Screech from Saved by the Bell , gave the world the sex tape it never asked for in 2006. The, um, film , which Diamond directed and released himself, had the cringiest name: Screeched – Saved by the Smell . The movie felt like a huge stunt when it was released and that's probably because, well, it was. Years later, during an interview for "Where Are They Now?" on the Oprah Winfrey Network (opens in new tab) , Diamond even claimed to have used a body double in the film and to have edited his own likeness into the footage after the fact.
"In my stupidity, I thought I could totally fake this. I could get a stunt person to take my place," he explained. "It’s my face but nothing else. Looking back now in my 30s, I realize that was really dumb."
So why make the video? The money, of course. Diamond explained during the interview that the idea came to him when he heard that Paris Hilton earned $14 million off the release of her infamous One Night in Paris sex tape.
"The sex tape is the thing that I’m most embarrassed about," Diamond explained. "And my buddy said, ‘$14 million? Holy smokes, where’s the Screech sex tape? You got to be worth at least a million.' And I thought, ‘Yeah — yeah, maybe.’ And that’s as simple as it was."
Turns out, however, that there wasn't enough of a market for Screech porn to make the whole ordeal worth it, financially.
"I definitely got some money off of it but it definitely wasn’t worth what the fallout was,” he said. "People to this day look down on me. There’s a lot of people [who think] ‘how disgusting of you’ — and I didn’t really do it."
In 2008, KISS legend Gene Simmons was the star of a celebrity sex tape (opens in new tab) that made the rounds on the internet. The video featured the musician and an Austrian energy drink spokesmodel named Elsa (her last name is never stated on camera) and was set to the soundtrack of Foreigner's, "I Want To Know What Love Is."
Simmons issued a statement (opens in new tab) about the tape on his personal website at the time, writing, "You may have heard or seen garbage that has sprung up from my past. Rest assured the proper legal team is looking at all ramifications and options."
The timing of the tape's release—just a couple of weeks before the premiere of the third season of Simmons' A&E reality show, Gene Simmons' Family Jewels —led to some speculation that the very NSFW tape wasn't an accidental leak at all, but a planned publicity stunt to generate buzz for the show.
In 1988, Rob Lowe was involved in a pre-internet age sex tape scandal that seriously threatened his future in the entertainment industry. During a 2019 interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show (opens in new tab) , Lowe seemed to have developed a good attitude about the ordeal over the years and even credits the incident—in part, at least—with inspiring his
