hey. greetings from San Fran! tonight we played a gorgeous venue called the fillmore. dodie killed it. in the last song the batteries fell out of my wireless monitor pack & I couldn’t hear a DANG THING in my ears.. so I ripped my in ears out and played it just by hearing it out the front of house.. stressful but surprisingly fun. I suddenly felt SO present & I thought heck, I’m travelling & touring the states for a whole month playing music with my best friends in the world. C O O L ! I’ve met some secret demo club members at these shows & it’s been such a joy. when you’re not the headline act on tour there’s a few more hours in the day to chill, experience the place, meet friends & that. so although I’ve played my own shows here in the past I feel like I’m lucky enough to soak it up a little more this time. still there were places where I wish we had just one more day (Chicago, Nashville, Denver!) but hey. I’m a lucky sucker nonetheless. thanks to all my silver patrons who have listened to the new podcast episode I put up - I set up my mic in a conference room in Vegas & recorded answers to your anonymously submitted questions. if you’re on that tier (thank you) go back and have a listen when you can! I chatted about everything from tour to the pros & cons of life as a musician. shit gets deep! I’m excited about your demo for this month. I know it’ll be last minute but bear with me! ☺️ playing catch up all the time but I won’t let you down. also this eve I had the pleasure of spending some time with Nataly Dawn after the show, she’s an incredible musician with a great outlook & also the other half of Jack Conte who founded patreon.. we didn’t chat about the site but it was a nice moment, to chat with someone connected to another someone who made something that essentially changed my life & the lives of so many of my friends. all hail patreon.
