Docs Reader - File Manager respects your privacy. This policy describes what the app does — and does not — do with your information. In short: Docs Reader - File Manager works entirely on your device and does not collect personal data.

Information We Collect

We do not gather personal data, we do not use tracking or advertising libraries, and we do not send your files anywhere. All processing happens locally on your device.

Device Permissions and Why They Are Needed

The app requests only the permissions required to manage and open files locally:

• All files access / Storage (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): used to scan, preview, open, and delete the documents, images, audio, and video already stored on your device. Your files are never uploaded or shared.
• Install unknown apps (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES): used only so you can install an .apk file that is already on your device. The app simply opens Android's own installer; it does not download or install anything on its own.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to third parties. The app has no server component and performs no network transmission of your files or personal information.

Data Security

Because your files never leave your device, they remain protected by your device's own security. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a screen lock.

Children's Privacy

The app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
