This policy explains how Docam for Android and iOS handles information when you scan, edit, save and share documents. "We" means the developer of Docam. For privacy questions, contact nodirbek.devoloper@gmail.com.

Your documents and local processing

Docam uses your camera or photos you select to create scanned documents. Cropping, filters, rotation and PDF, JPG and image-based Word exports are processed on your device. Docam stores document images, source copies, titles, page order and editing settings in its local app storage. Source images may include metadata from the original file.

Docam does not require an account and does not provide its own cloud document storage. We do not receive your scans on a developer-operated server, and Docam does not send document images, document titles or document contents to the advertising service.

Your operating system or device provider may include app data in backups or device transfers, depending on your settings. Photos imported from a cloud photo library are handled by that library's provider before they reach Docam. Android scanning components may need to download supporting software through Google Play services.

Permissions

Camera access enables scanning. The photo picker or photo-library permission enables importing images you choose; the permission requested depends on your operating system. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working. Docam does not request access to your contacts, microphone or precise GPS location.

Advertising and privacy choices

Docam uses Google AdMob to show banner and rewarded advertisements. Depending on your platform, settings and consent, Google's advertising SDK may process your IP address and approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, service improvement and fraud prevention. Advertising data may also be shared with Google's advertising partners.

Google's consent tools are used to request and manage applicable advertising choices. Where available, open Docam's settings and choose "Ad privacy choices" to review or change them. You can also use your device's advertising privacy controls. The current iOS app does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization. Some rewarded export features may be unavailable when an eligible advertisement cannot be shown.

Docam also stores a local count of completed standard exports to determine when a rewarded advertisement is required. This counter is not a document identifier and is not sent by Docam to a developer-operated server.

Optional usage analytics and crash reports

Docam uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to help us understand app usage and fix technical problems. On first launch, Docam asks whether you want to enable usage analytics. Analytics stays off unless you choose "Allow analytics"; you can decline or turn it off later in About Docam settings. Crash-report uploads remain off until you separately enable "Crash reports" there. These choices are separate from advertising consent and are stored on your device.

If you enable usage analytics, Google may process app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version, session and interaction events, and approximate location derived from network information. Docam adds an event indicating whether images came from the camera or photo library; it does not include the images, document names, file paths, search queries or document contents. We do not set an account-based user ID. Firebase Analytics advertising-ID collection and advertising personalization signals are disabled in Docam's configuration.

If you enable crash reports, Firebase Crashlytics may process installation identifiers, crash stack traces, app and device versions, and diagnostic information such as device state at the time of an error. Our Dart error handler sends the error type and stack trace without the exception message, which can contain file paths or user input. We do not attach scans or document contents to reports. Native system crash diagnostics may contain technical paths and process information. When both services are enabled, usage events may help explain the activity leading to a crash.

Turning off usage analytics stops further Analytics collection and resets the local Analytics identifier and data. Turning off crash reports disables automatic report uploads and requests deletion of unsent reports; the Crashlytics SDK may still keep new crash diagnostics locally while uploads are disabled. These settings do not automatically erase reports already received by Google. Analytics data follows the retention settings of our Analytics property and Google's applicable policies. Firebase states that Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Contact us about applicable access or deletion rights; identifying a particular installation may require additional information because Docam has no user accounts.

Exported files are passed to the system share sheet when you choose to share them. The application or recipient you select then handles the files under its own policies. We do not control those copies or their subsequent use.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include so that we can respond and resolve your request. Do not send document scans or sensitive information unless needed for your support request. Our email provider also processes this correspondence.

Retention and deletion

Saved documents remain in the app until you delete them or remove its app data. You can delete documents in Docam. Removing the app or clearing its data generally removes its local library; device backups, restored data and exported or shared copies are managed separately. Temporary export copies may remain in the app's cache until the system clears them or you remove the app's data. Deleting a saved document does not delete copies already exported, cached, backed up or shared elsewhere.

Support correspondence is kept as needed to address your request, maintain necessary support records or meet applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion. Google's retention and deletion practices are described in its policies and account controls. We cannot remotely access or delete scans stored only on your device or copies held by recipients you chose.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us about information we hold. For locally stored scans, use the app's export and deletion features. You may also contact your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Security and international processing

Docam relies on your device's app storage protections. Keep your device secure and control access to exported files and backups. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Google and our email provider may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable policies and safeguards.

Children

Docam is a general-purpose document scanning utility. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can review and address it.

Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy as Docam or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice where required.
