Letterboxd has a five star rating system with half stars, so in practice (unless you're one of the insane people that doesn't use half stars or don't know they exist) it's a 10 point scale. I like that system the most because IMDB also has a 10 point scale, and I'm used to it. I've been using a 10 point system, but you make good points and I kinda wanna try a 5 point system now. There are definitely times where I've kinda wanted to put down a movie as a 5 but put it as a 4.5 because I had a couple tiny nitpicks, or things that I call a 2.5 to be "fair" but really feel like a 2. Usually, on a 5 point scale, my majority is about 4/5. Not as much as I hate a 2 star or thumbs up rating scale. I use a 1-10 scale slightly based around typical IMDb ratings, 7 being pretty good, 8 being really good, 9+ a masterpiece, anything below a 5 absolute trash. I also do letter grades.
