Two months may have passed since news of Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson ‘s cheating scandal broke, but it does not appear that the tensions between the model and the KarJenner fam have subsided just yet.
On Saturday, Jordyn showed up to a Coachella pre-party near Palm Springs, where she awkwardly ran into Kendall Jenner , the older sister of Jordyn’s former best friend Kylie Jenner — and the uncomfortable moment was evident to nearly everyone attending the bash.
A partygoer at the 7th annual Bootsy Bellows Pool Party, presented by McDonald’s and PacSun, tells PEOPLE that Kendall, 23, was sitting with Hailey Baldwin at a table when Jordyn, 21, arrived with longtime pal and Coachella performer Jaden Smith.
“It was such an awkward moment, everyone saw it,” the insider recalled, adding that their tables were within direct eyeshot of each other.
“They made eye contact and you could see that they all thought this is awkward — they were saying it with their eyes and body language,” the insider added. “It wasn’t hard to see the tension and the awkwardness.”
The uncomfortable encounter only lasted for a short time until Jordyn appeared to have a “little fight” with her mom, according to the partygoer.
Once Jordyn was gone, the source said Kendall and Hailey appeared to be relieved and were joined by fellow model Gigi Hadid . “They were basically [like], ‘Let’s get this party started’ and were chatting away with Gigi.”
Reps for Jordyn and Kendall did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Since news of the cheating scandal involving Thompson broke in February, the KarJenner family has banded together to support Khloé Kardashian and Kylie through the difficult time.
On March 1, Jordyn shared her side of the story in the tell-all interview , claiming that the father of Khloé ‘s child kissed her at an afterparty at his house on Feb. 17.
Though she adamantly denied having sex with him, she admitted that the next day, while she told Kylie, 21, and Khloé, 34, that she had been at Thompson’s house, she didn’t disclose what had happened between them .
Khloé initially slammed Jordyn on Twitter after the interview, blaming her for breaking up her family , but she softened her tone a day later and placed the fault instead on Thompson, 27 .
A source close to the Kardashians also told PEOPLE at the time that “the Kardashians are feeling 100 percent done with Jordyn” and that they were “pissed” that Jordyn would try to make amends during her public appearance on the show, instead of reaching out directly.
Jordyn, who moved out of Kylie’s house , currently remains distanced from the famous family, and a source recently told PEOPLE that Jordyn and Kylie have had limited contact .
“It’s still a tricky situation for Kylie. And no one is actually putting too much pressure on her,” the source said. “Her family is aware that she is in contact with Jordyn. They are letting Kylie figure things out for herself.”
And while Kylie isn’t cutting Jordyn out of her life entirely, she’s also working to strengthen other friendships.
“She has been socializing more and trying to find a bigger circle of friends that she can be close with,” the source explained. “After the Jordyn drama, she realized that relying on just one friend is not the best idea.”
Meanwhile, Jordyn has kept herself busy and has been slowly reemerging into the public eye. The model was spotted out on numerous occasions over the past few weeks in Los Angeles and London .
The day before the Bootsy Bellows Paty, she appeared on stage with Smith during his Coachella set on Friday.
“Only @c.syresmith would perform on a flying Tesla. I’m so proud of you my guy!!! Here’s a shot of the moment a ran on stage,” Woods wrote on Instagram a day later.

The Kardashian-Jenner family severed ties with Jordyn when she was spotted making out with Khloe Kardashian 's on-and-off beau, Tristan Thompson. But that wasn't the most controversial part of Kendall's interview during the reunion. When asked about her journey into modeling, she said that being on reality TV only made it "harder" for her. Fans were quick to call her out for her "privileged" statement. But what exactly did she mean by that response, anyway?

"Everyone around me, whether it's friends or family, knows how hard I worked and still work," Kendall said when asked what she tells people who accuse her of "not paying her dues." Many people, including established models, have criticized the KUWTK star for several things she's done and said about her career. But Kendall explained, "I did everything that I was supposed to do and had to do to get to the position that I'm at now as a model."
She also said that she went to every single casting all over New York City and Europe to "make her way." When asked about her platform's influence in her success in the modeling scene, she said, "Of course I had a platform, and I never took that for granted. I always knew that that was there, but that almost made my job a little bit harder." This comment instantly drew flak online. Fans went on to say that she's a "mediocre" model who looks like she "hasn't worked hard for anything."
"...Only because people probably didn't want to hire me because I was on a reality TV show," Kendall said about her struggles in making it as a professional model. "I took my last name off of my name on all my modeling cards so that I was taken completely seriously," Kendall added. Kris Jenner also said that her daughter banned their family from attending her fashion shows.

Now, fans think that Kendall may have had a Freudian slip during the reunion when she said, "I presented the cutest little modeling book to my mom when I was, like, 14. And then she did her Kris Jenner thing and made it all come to life."
Kendall has always been firm in her statement that she's never used her reality TV fame to land modeling jobs. "I mean, I literally went to the middle of nowhere castings. I definitely worked my way to where I am now," she said during the reunion episode. "I think it's just a perception that people have, that I just was like, 'Give it to me!' and I had it. It definitely was not that."
Despite Kendall's explanations, fans still don't think that the model actually struggled when she was starting out. The Jenner sisters and Jordyn Woods converged in Indio, California over the weekend for the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival , and according to People , things got uncomfortable when Kendall and Woods were in the same vicinity.
An insider who attended the Bootsy Bellows party told the publication that while Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) and Jenner were chilling at a table, Woods and Jaden Smith (son of Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith) arrived to the venue. “It was such an awkward moment, everyone saw it,” the partygoer told the publication.
“They made eye contact and you could see that they all thought this is awkward — they were saying it with their eyes and body language," the People source continued. "It wasn’t hard to see the tension and the awkwardness.”
People 's insider added that although the party was uncomfortable, the situation quickly defused when Jordyn appeared to have a “little fight” with her mom. The same source added that when Bieber and Jenner bumped into Gigi Hadid, they "were basically [like], ‘Let’s get this party started,’" and they all chatted together.
Us Weekly also had an insider at the soiree whose description of the interaction was similar to People 's. “Hailey and Kendall saw Jordyn and both gave her a stare,” said Us Weekly 's source.
“Jordyn was visibly uncomfortable by their reaction. As Jordyn was sitting, her and her mom were in a bit of an argument and she told her mom, ‘I don’t want to discuss this right now,’” said the insider. The magazine's source continued that Woods "didn't stay long" and told her party that "she was ready to leave" the venue.
Although Kendall no longer follows Woods on Instagram, Woods has not unfollowed anyone from the entire clan—Khloé, Kim, Kourtney, Kris, Kendall, and Kylie. At the time of writing, Kylie still follows Woods on Instagram.
It may come as a surprise that Woods is still following Khloé on Instagram, especially after Woods became entangled in cheating allegations with Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloé's daughter, True. Woods openly discussed her side of the story on Jada Pinkett-Smith's show, Red Table Talk , in February, but Khloé called her out on Twitter , calling her "the reason my family broke up." At the time, Twitter users disagreed with Khloé's tone and clapped back at her for attempting to drag Jordyn.
