This little grenade has a little bit of weight to it no big deal though. The sound is beautiful for a a cheap bluetooth portable speaker. I think it is one of the best you can buy for the price. Sound is crisp, bass is as good as your going to get for cost very durable, Volume gets loud enough to hear while i'm riding a UTV 1000 with engines speeds at 6k rpm. Also it is water resistant so its not a big deal if water is spilled on it which happened to me. Last but not least I bought this because of a review on CNET claiming this speaker was the best for the buck which I do agree. Look up review your self they go through a ton of the bluetooth speakers and this one is the best for under 50$ I think. And it was shipped quickly in a hard plastic case which was nice. (I have the Green one)
I have lot's of Bluetooth devices, kind of a gadget guru... this is the best sounding unit for it's size and features. I also have the JBL Micro which is similar except the Divoom can be used as a conference call device which is the main reason I wanted it but then the sound is much better than the JBL Micro. The only minor thing I like about the JBL Micro is the Auxiliary output so you can hook up a stereo or other devices daisy chained to it and it has a dedicated input port (the Divoom has a combo usb / input jack) which I do not like because it's proprietary, so don't loose the cable. Though the sound and Bluetooth cell phone calls way make up for it. It is close to perfect. I would highly recommend this device. Hopefully version 2 would have the daisy chain auxiliary output and non proprietary charge/input cable. Then it would be the perfect micro portable Bluetooth speaker.
The sound is good, generally better than some other portable Bluetooth speakers I have used. But there are still a lot Divoonm can do to make it better. It's not loud enough when I try to use it outdoors, actually much lower than UE Mini Boombox. And then when you turn to the other side of the speaker and see some printed information printed on in a circle, you can even find some typos - not actually typos, but there are serveral letters which are supposed to be capital while not. I maybe picky on details, but I don't think I am the only one being picky.
Alright. So I have had my Divoom Voombox since April and I've only used it a handful of times. It's great for the casual pool party or to play music while I'm taking a shower. It's great, I love it. But why am I giving it only one star? Because the USB port is size-specific for only the Voombox and no other micro USB will fit it, and the head for the micro USB that came with my Voombox broke after only a handful of uses (less than 20). So now I have a speaker that doesn't work because I have no way to charge it. Awesome. So why don't I just contact Divoom? Well, there is no way to. Their website has no contact information other than "Please contact authorized Divoom dealer in your country, for authorized dealer information, please check a list of Divoom authorized dealers, please click here." And Amazon is one of them, which is where I obviously purchased mine. But do you think Divoom USA has a "Contact Seller" option? Nope. And since the return warranty is only 6 months, there's no way I can send an email that route either. The only option I have to somehow get a hold of Divoom is by possibly writing a negative review. With that being said, I love the Voombox. I want to give it an honest 4.5/5 stars, and I would gladly change my review and rating if Voombox USA reads this and sends me an email to help me replace my micro USB. That's all I want- a new micro USB with a head that doesn't snap after a few normal uses. My warranty is still valid. Thanks. :) -Zach
Very good portable Bluetooth speaker. I've bought like 4 of them because people hear me playing them a offer to by them from me for prices more than i paid. Good highs, mids, and very good lows. I use the mixzing app for its 10 band Equalizer and Gain boost. This speaker can handle it. My one gripe is that you can't play 2 of them Simultaneously Together.
Couldn't get it to pair with my android phone. Pairing with my computer was easy. I was very disappointed with the low volume. When I pressed and held the + button on the side of the speaker, it advanced to the next track but then I discovered that if you press and release, the volume will change.
It's an alright speaker, however I'm not very into it. I connected it w/ my iPhone and it doesn't play the music right when my phone is about ten feet away. I personally would not buy this again.

Safe and Enjoyable Cycling
Living in the big city cycling to university or for work can be stressful when you have close calls with careless and dangerous motorists. Often I'd notice myself shouting a lot sounding like a wild animal, but felt music would help sooth my stress cycling. But cant use headphones as I need to hear for traffic. These speakers are the perfect solution. I can listen to all the good tunes I like, still hear traffic behind me, and it keeps me much more calm than before taking close calls more civilised than before. It has also improved my safety cycling as I now live in the countryside for employment (until I pass my driving lessons) I have to cycle on pitch black roads. The speaker is really good for alerting animals of your presence so there is less chance of hitting an animal cycling. Once passing a parked van a driver opening his door without looking heard my music from my speakers and shut the door to avoid knocking me down.

Very robust, great sounding speaker
I've had a few bluetooth speakers, but I wanted one that I could clip on to my clothing while I wander around working. I tend to move between various areas quite a lot, often while carrying things so this is perfect for keeping my tunes with me without having to also carry a speaker. The rubberised buttons area easy to find after a bit of practice figuring out which one does what without looking and the overall feel is of a very high quality, robust unit. There's plenty of volume and bass for a small (or even not so small) room. In common with all small speakers I find the best sound quality is achieved by putting it down on a surface so that the sound, especially the bass, can resonate though that surface. However it's perfectly listenable without a surface to rest on such as when clipped to my belt loop. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it.

Screaming feedback on my phone. Ouch!
Really impressed with the sound quality of this device. It uses passive bass, so if you put it on a wooden table, it sounds great. However, if I answer or try to make a phone call on my Nokia 101, the phone makes a horrible feedback noise. Even when the speaker is off. Even when the speaker is at the other end of my flat, some 15m away, out of bluetooth range. I've emailed Divoom. I'll update this review if they offer a solution. Further to last review... I've now had the Voombox for around four months. It now disconnects from my laptop and/or turns itself off every few minutes. Disappointing because the sound quality is very good, considering the price. It's going in the bin and I'm asking for a Minirig for my birthday.

GREAT little, but BIG sound boombox.
**UPDATE MARCH2016. It doesn't work anymore. Turns on, grunts and then off. It has always been crappy to connect via bluetooth and installed itself twice (in Mac sound preferences) and was unable to edit/delete/uninstall this. So...would I buy another...maybe for £8 as I paid but now its 15, I will just go for a bigger and better boombox!** GREAT little, but BIG sound boombox. I never had mine vibrate across the table, but then i always have it on volume 9 and not 11 Put on a sturdy table or chair and it will transfer the bass underneath as well. Probably on metal surfaces it might create surface vibrations/noise. I would buy another if mine broke. NB. Sometimes its a bit on /off with the bluetooth connecting...

A little monster...
This little speaker is so powerful it packs a mighty punch! Forget the Beats Pill... This speaks has great sound for a fraction of what the Beats Pill costs... I was going to buy the Beats Pill, more so because of name and how it looked and I thought it sounded good, and don't get me wrong it does sound good, but this little guy sounds so good, I've dropped it on slate floor and it was fine. No damage, mainly because it has rubber round it, looks like a grenade.... You won't be disappointed.
