Good thing I had a saved game. That really sucks her band of thieves attack you and if you kill most of them they still take off with all your money and loot.

Your stuff is all in the bag on the table next to the bed. You can grab it all right during the fight. You must be missing the bag with your stuff on the table next to the bad. It's right there, you can grab it when the fight starts, so that you don't fight naked.

Doesnt matter. I reloaded it and killed everyone involved.

How did they take off with your stuff? The bag is right on the table when you wake up. Maybe you just missed it? The lizard lady has an Undead fetish. That's probably the only way to have her agree for another 'toss in the hay' and she's actually excited about the whole endeavor.

So this is what RPG porn is like.....

Imagine a remake of Baldur's Gate 2 with this kind of engine.

Pillars of Eternity is boasting about how good 2D are. We will see how it compare to DOS.

Right! I almost forgot about Pillars of Eternity. That one will possibly outmatch Divinity and even BG.

Obsidian is one of my most favorite RPG devs. That game will be awesome.

I'd love remakes of all the old Dungeons and Dragons PC games in this engine..

You are aware that someone made Baldur's Gate Reloaded? It's BG redone completely using the NWN 2 toolset. They are also currently working on Baldur's Gate 2 Reloaded using the NWN 2 toolset. Yes, NWN 2 isn't as new and shiny as D:OS but for those of you who want a more up-to-date polish to the BG games....there you go.

Is it just me, or does romance stuff in the game feel really tacked-on and half-assed?
Like, I tried to romance Ifan, and throughout the game you get a couple flirty lines here and there, and then after Act 3, boom, you suddenly get the option of having sex. And then it's just the two of you staring at each other silently, fully clothed, while the narrator explicitly describes the sex scene. It was really super awkward and uncomfortable.
Like, even worse than Bioware levels.
Top top it off, your romance choices have zero effect on the ending.
The romances were a kickstarter stretch goal and it shows, like Larian included it because they had to. At that point, why even bother?
Really? I romanced Ifan and likes it waaaaay more than basically any other romance in a game I’ve played. I also really preferred having the romance narrated compared to the super awkwardly animated sex scenes from most 3d animated Games (coughcoughWitcher3cough).
The thing I liked in Witcher was having to choose. And if you double-deal it can blow up in your face. The actual sex scenes... ehhh. I don't really need porn-style sex scenes in vidji games, I have the internet for that.
I really dislike the direction where Bioware is going nowadays, but saying their romance is so bad that it's a benchmark in bad romances in games is simply not true. KOTOR, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect, DA: I all had above average romantic plot. Ranging from good to great. Dragon Age Morrigan was the best I think.
I think best romance in games were done in Witcher 3. Not because of the animated scenes. (Frankly, I didn't mind that DOS:2 didn't invest in an animation and instead had the narrator tell you what's going on.)
It's just in Witcher 3, you have an actual relationship with those characters, you as the player care for those characters, and this is a great achievement for CDPR. Ciri and Yen are new characters in the Witcher game series, and they successfully make you - the player care about them, pretty much as soon as you get to meet them. There are hours of dialog for Triss and Yennefer. You get to know them on a much deeper level than the characters in DOS:2 (Or in Bioware games)
I too feel that romances in DOS:2 are an afterthought. It seems you need to jump only 3 or 4 'levels' of affection so that the other character loves you. It really feels forced and unnatural. But I in no way expected from DOS romance to be on the level of Bioware or CDPR. Those are different leagues in development size and budget.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is already a fantastic game, but players looking to spice up the title should take a peek at these amazing mods.
For many RPG fans, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is right up there with Baldur's Gate and even Planescape Torment as the best of the genre . What it lacks in seriousness and heavy philosophical themes, it makes up for in engaging gameplay and boundless RPG freedom. It's one of the few games out there that allow players to do whatever they please, including going murder-hobo on everyone.
Of course, it's still not a perfect game, though it comes close to being one. That's players look for ways to supplement the experience with a few mods that tweak things here and there. The changes range from quality of life improvements to gameplay balance, making the game less tedious and more fun, especially for several playthroughs . Here are ten mods worth looking into for longtime fans of the game.
Updated February 19th, 2021 by Sid Natividad: Many RPGs have come and gone but Divinity: Original Sin II still remains the most popular of them all. Since its next critical successor, Baldur's Gate III is far from finished, squeezing out some more game time from Divinity: Original Sin 2 ought to be enough to keep the fans occupied. So, more mods are added for better replay value.
One big issue that players keep running into in the game is how the vendors and traders take a while before they change up their item supply. This can be a bummer for anyone looking to speed up their playthrough or are looking for somewhere to spend their gold.
Trader Restock and Clean Junks can be a fitting remedy for this gameplay hurdle. It lets players force vendor menu restock on command with the press of a hotkey. If they're feeling a little unfair, then they can do it over and over again until they get the item they want.
For those on several playthroughs of Divinity: Original Sin II, it can feel dull since you already know where to expect combat or how to cheese all the encounters. Spicing things up with ambushes is certainly warranted for more experience and even more opportunities to show off that broken party combo.
Monsters Madness lets players go all out with combat. It's a mod that sprinkles in some monster or enemy encounters in areas where players were once safe. Do note that their difficulty levels were also spiked for more excitement.
Accidents often happen in Divinity: Original Sin II despite the handy controls. Even something as simple as separating your party members and letting one sneak off can quickly turn into a frustrating accident where they all blunder around an enemy fort.
Unchain Chain All Characters lowers the chances of that happening among other accidents involved in the rather sticky party member separation system. It adds a convenient hotkey for singling out party members or unchaining them all at once.
As it is, Divinity: Original Sin II has its own game mode similar to Dungeons and Dragons where players can choose to be a dungeon master for a gameplay session. Too bad this isn't available for singleplayer.
However, a mod called Play as you want fixes this and lets players DM their own solo adventure. Whether it's a straight-up cheat mod or not depends on your restraint. Regardless, it's an awesome and powerful tool for creating your own stories.
