Disclaimer

me ofc

Refering to https://www.mi.com/global/support EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS "(g) Damage caused by operating the Product outside the permitted or intended uses described by Xiaomi or with improper voltage or power supply" any damage caused by OC would not be covered by the warranty, which is why any form of overclocking is only allowed when it isn't enabled by default and also needs a disclaimer for the toggle to enable it. The disclaimer has to inform the user that this will drive the device outside of the designed specifications, can potentially cause damage and may void the warranty and that the user is continuing on their own risk. It can be placed either in form of a software side alert in case of a UI toggle or in the instructions / documentation on how to enable it. This is not only to make users aware of potential consequences but also to pretect developers from potential claims and accusations from users in case of any damage (may it been caused by the OC or something else) since they were confirming to continue on their own risk.
