£100,000 to £120,000 basic + £7,000 car allowance + commission
Flexible location. Initial time in Birmingham would be valuable, with candidates across the UK and overseas considered.
Can you bring technical understanding, commercial judgement and real urgency to complex software transformation deals?
I’m partnering with TXP to recruit a Business Development Director for its specialist application modernisation business.
TXP helps organisations transform legacy applications and programming languages into modern cloud platforms, using specialist tooling, automation and increasingly AI.
With significant inbound demand and live opportunities across Germany, the USA and Australia, the business needs someone who can take ownership of opportunities and drive them towards a decision.
Programmes are typically worth £5m to £10m, delivered through fixed price engagements with defined outcomes. Customers are often major System Integrators delivering transformation for global banks and insurers.
The role
• Progress existing opportunities through technical discovery, proposal development, negotiation and close
• Coordinate client, SI, technical, delivery and commercial stakeholders
• Build credible business cases around complex application transformation
• Maintain momentum, resolve blockers and keep everyone accountable for next steps
Your background
• Application modernisation or complex software transformation experience
• A track record of progressing and closing substantial technology services deals
• Technical curiosity and the ability to explain a complex proposition clearly
• Strong project or programme management discipline
• Experience shaping fixed price engagements
• Energy, organisation and consistent follow through
The focus is legacy software and application transformation. Experience selling mainframe hardware or infrastructure alone would not provide the background needed.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of substantial international deals, supported by specialist technical and delivery teams.
