Diphallia is a rare developmental abnormality that causes a male to be born with two penises. It affects one in 5.5 million men in the United States, and those born with it usually experience other kinds of anomalies or spina bifida. Infants born with it have a higher death rate due to the complications it brings — but in one rare case, a man was born with diphallia and had hardly any other complications. He goes by the name of Diphallic Dude and opened up on Reddit for an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.
In his AMA session, Diphallic Dude described what life is like with two functioning penises. He explained that they're both the same size and sit next to each other side-by-side. "...Because I have one muscle that controls my piss, it lets the stream flow out both my d---s," he wrote , adding that he tends to avoid public restrooms — and if he does use one, he goes for the stall rather than urinal.
"I've gotten stares and even had a few guys at various times go, 'Holy s--t,'" he said.
And while many guys may say they need a lot of special solo sessions, Diphallic Dude says he medically has to masturbate daily or every other day. When asked if any complications ever arose from his condition, he wrote "my prostate gets inflamed if I don't ejaculate enough. I'm probably the only guy with a legit reason to orgasm at least once every day or two days. My prostate gets stimulation from both [penises] and creates a lot of seminal fluid, so when I [orgasm] it has to be squeezed every few days to get all the excess out. Otherwise, it feels bloated and painful."
While we're on the topic of sex, Diphallic Dude says his right penis is more "sensitive" and easier to work with in the bedroom. "The left one just takes more effort to get the orgasm," he wrote . "The right one seems to be a little more sensitive."
He also writes that he was bullied in high school for having two penises. While at first he was seen as cool, it quickly "became a joke and guys immediately thought i was gay, because ... you know I guess I CHOSE to have two c---ks..."
Diphallic Dude, who says he is bisexual and in a committed relationship with a man and a woman, says that the reaction his penises get can vary from person to person.
"I've been in a serious relationship with a girl and a guy for a while now. I call it monogamous because we are exclusive," he wrote. "She enjoys it. The three girls before her enjoyed it. It's sort of, made a few run screaming in the past. Usually the ones I get to know well before we date are cool with it. I dont talk about it otherwise, like if im not going to have sex with you, you wont know i've got two d--ks."

Reddit’s Ask Me Anything (AMA) section is one of the most unique functions the website offers where users can congregate to talk about, well, anything. When Reddit user “DoubleD**kDude” posted “I am the guy with two penises. AMA,” not surprisingly, the Internet came running for an explanation of this medical anomaly.
While the anonymous user kept his name out for obvious reasons, he did share that both are fully functioning and work independently from each other. Translation: both penises can achieve an erection and climax on their own.
“Both are 100 percent functional. It is Diphallia, not an absorbed twin,” he wrote in the post. “It's not genetic or inherited. I am bisexual and in a committed relationship with a man and a woman, but have permission to stray only with James Franco.”
That’s not to say he was free from any setbacks.

Diphallia , also known as penile duplication, may seem like it belongs in a science fiction novel, but health care professionals are well aware of this condition. Affecting one out of every five and a half million boys in the United States, diphallia is a rare medical condition with around 100 confirmed reports since Johannes Jacob Wecker discovered it back in 1609.
Experts are unsure of what causes diphallia, but speculate it occurs after the 23rd day of gestation following an injury, chemical stress, or a gene malfunction. Unfortunately, men born with this condition tend to die at an earlier age due to infections and renal failure.
Although both penises are able to function on their own, men with diphallia are usually sterile due to congenital defects. These men are also at a higher risk of developing spina bifida, a condition that results in malformation of the vertebrae designed to protect the spinal cord.

As uncomfortable as it is for one to be "packed well" in underwear, can you imagine having to deal with a second penis in underwear, swim shorts, or even a supporter? Not to even think of group showers, high school, college, gyms, military etc... I can't.

There are countless ways specimens can have atypical development. This diphallic dude seems to have hit the lottery in that only the part one might want more of seems to be affected, and he had the good fortune that nobody rushed to "correct" his body before he could weigh in.

I tried doing some research, but I can't find any substantial evidence to prove this claim one way or the other. Diphallia does exist and affects around 1 in 5 .5 million boys, though one or both of the penises is not fully functional in almost all cases. This man remains anonymous, so there's no way to verify this. He also put out some rather far-fetched claims like having over 1000 sexual partners and thrusting so hard during sex that his partner's cervix fell out. Being featured on news sites and publishing a book does not automatically make your story true. There was a story that made news a few years back about a woman who claimed to have plastic surgery to add a third boob, and it was later found out to be nothing more than a wearable prosthetic with a bit of Photoshop to make it more realistic. Now, whether or not Mr. Diphallic Dude is legit, I don't know, but I do have my doubts.

I think all the proof you need that he's a phony is the fact that he has never done a porn film. Those guys would pay any price to have that in a flick.

A man who claims to suffer from an extremely rare medical condition in which he was born with two penises has posted a picture online, attracting thousands of questions.
The anonymous man - who goes by the moniker 'DoubleD*ckDude' - spent more than six hours answering questions online after uploading the pictures to Reddit.
He claimed to suffer from a condition known as diphallia - where a boy is born with two fully-functioning penises, each capable of operating independently from the other - and included two pictures with the time and date.

The condition affects around one in every six million boys in the U.S. but most have one removed at an early age.
When he was asked how people react to his condition, he replied: ‘It varies from girl to girl.
‘Some have been like “wow”. Some have been like “that's fake!” Some have freaked out like, called me names.
‘Most are pretty curious but I don't have casual sex anymore, I stopped a few years back.’
Another asked whether he had ever considered having one penis removed.
He replied: ‘In my mid-teens, yeah. Now, hell no.’
He said he was glad his parents chose to not have one surgically removed, adding: 'Besides the ego boost it really makes a person feel special knowing there is likely no one else like you alive right now.'
He also said he has a great mom and his parents were helpful and supportive growing up.
The man, believed to be American, revealed in an 'Ask Me Anything' thread that he has one pair of testicles which split into two fully-formed penises that are individually able to achieve erection and climax.

The unnamed man, who is in a bisexual polyamorous relationship with a man and woman, explained that he could urinate or ejaculate simultaneously.
He met his now boyfriend and girlfriend when they were in a monogamous relationship and the three have been together, exclusively, ever since.
Having an extra penis has led to a range of sexual encounters with men and women, and he claimed that heterosexuals had been curious enough to take part in encounters.
'Mostly straight guys, and they always at the very least touch and play with them a little,' he posted.
He added that having an extra penis had opened him up to group sex encounters, and said he can use both at the same time, in two different lovers or the same person.
When asked about his most memorable sexual encounter he detailed an act involving six other people - three women and three men.
One of the only downsides of his condition, he said, was that it means his prostate gets full of seminal fluid that has to be released every few days.
When he was younger a urologist would perform the procedure, which involves reaching inside his anus and pressing on the prostate, but he said he can clear it himself now or has his boyfriend do it.
