Dinocephalosaurus orientalis is a fascinating and enigmatic reptile from the Middle Triassic period (around 245 million years ago). Here’s what makes it so interesting:

Dinocephalosaurus had an extremely elongated neck, with up to 32 vertebrae (more than giraffes or even the famous Elasmosaurus).
