Btw, if anyone updated the Lizards and you load up your projects with the old ones, they'll look warped like some sort of Eldritch Horror. With almost all models in SFM that you update mid-use, just right-click the model name in your hierarchy (the left list) in the Animation Set Editor and go....

Utilities > Reattach to Model

You'll have to do this for every shot in the timeline though, if you have multiple shots.

Well i appreciate his work! But it won’t be perfect if the lizard males can wear makeup and crossdress. Sorry, I have a thing for lizard buff dudes wearing feminine things. Hehe ^^;

You can always edit the textures, (I have for a few of them) if you have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro (I think GIMP works too). You just need to export the files with VTFEditor and turn them into a "Targa" file to edit them.

Which is a lot easier than it sounds

Oh no, it's fine.

"True"...you can import PNG, but Targa is most common because it has non-transparency alpha channels. Which Source uses for technical reasons. Imported PNGs do transparency, which is always converted to an alpha channel by VTFEdit. Which isn't wanted most of the time with textures.

The hood looks bigger in the previews, but the model I got for the hood is small. I tried making it bigger, but it ends up looking wrong.

Did you link the two together, then use the "Zero" Slider to attach them?

If so then you have to open the "Unknown" section on the hood itself, select all the unchecked boxes at once and then while they're still highlighted drag the "Default" slider to the right, like you did for the "Zero" slider. That'll make it look exactly like it is in the screenshots.

If it doesn't work, then respawn a new hood. Because you have to do it 100% correctly, on your 1st attempt. If you use any other slider before Default, on the unchecked boxes then it'll mess things up.

Speaking of attaching objects, how does one attach the gloves/arm clothing to the models? Does it need to be done after you put on the rig or before? I tried to put it on their arms and rig it to the root, but no avail. Perhaps I should make a video showing what I'm doing wrong.

Pretty much with all clothes/props for SFM in general, you drag the entire main body to the clothes/prop itself. No root, no limbs. Just the entire thing. Then "Zero" them out with the procedural slider.

With some things, like the females skirt and the cobras hoods, you then need to do the "Unknown" section thing that I mentioned earlier though. You know that you'll have to do that with a article of clothing/a prop if everything doesn't align when you "Zero" them out.

Also it usually doesn't really matter when you attach stuff. Whether it's before or after you attach the IK_Rig for clothes/props. I generally do it before though. But before anything I "Baking the Procedural Bones", if the model has Jiggle Bones. (Like bouncy butts/hairs/breasts). That generally ensures everything fits.

This is assuming that the clothes are specifically made for the model.

If you try to fit clothes to a model that it isn't made for, it gets a bit more tricky. You just have to physically drag the clothes over the body, then link individual limbs and scale them appropriately.

The snakes model’s clothes are not there. Is there something I forgot?

Wow, sweet models with high quality and variation. I was having some trouble getting this pack to work. Unpacking the files requires 7zip if anyone is running into trouble with trying to unpack the files with WinRar. Apparently, I lack the patience to try to learn Source, it runs a tad slow on my laptop at times. I'mm curious if there happens to be a .blend file lying around? If not, I can manage porting over to a Blend file myself. Thought it may take a while. Hehe, thanks for sharing this with everyone!

The texture work is pretty big. Porting the models is straightforward, but putting the materials together is gonna take some time. As for the rigs, they're intact across the port. I'd just like to tweak them to fit Blender somewhat. Not sure how the IK goes though. Thanks again for sharing.

Do you think we can get them in gmod ?

Are you going to make more model packs? I was thinking that a equine or feline pack with your style would be a really cool addition too.

the file size of the rar is to big for my phone to download (I'm going to need a new sd Card!)

LOVING these models, thanks so much for sharing!!! Am I crazy or is it possible to scale the butt on these? I swear I keep seeing pictures of people using these models and the butt looks even bigger than the regular versions. Any who, the originals are good for me.

While in all honesty I'd like to see something new, Snakes, Cats, Bats, and Dragons Should be updated. The clothes of the new models are incompatible with the old ones, and it is a frustrating prospect, especially since dragons were paid from the start. Love your work by the way, the models are beautiful. I should be able to start posting my work with them soon.
