I'm a lesbian, but I'm not a virgin and I've used toys before in the past with partners, but it's been awhile. I recently bought a realistic, silicone dildo that's about 6.5 inches and some water based lube. Even when I'm aroused and wet on my on, getting it in hurts...I can manage to get the head in after a few tries but if I try to go any farther, it hurts and I have to take it out. Same thing happens when I try with the lube.

Is it penis shaped (full head on it) or just vaguely phallic? Fellow lesbian here. I would say don’t over think this and go buy a smaller dildo. This really could be anything from you feeling nervous, to your body changing with age or time of month, to you needing a better lube, to maybe you need more warm up than you used to. Good news is you can have as many kinds of dildos and lubes as you want.
Sounds like too big of girth cause a lady friend of mine had a similiar issue and ended up getting a toy that was way too large then spent the afternoon trying to make it fit before giving up. I feels its important to understand that, like men, lady genitals come in all different sizes and not every key is gonna fit in the hole.

I have a similar issue, bought one and found it didnt fit once I got home. In my case, I can fit it to the hilt with a partner's help, but solo the big bastard is just too much.

Next time try to find one of those slightly upscale stores that has display copies on the shelf. Hi, No it is not weird that you masturbate, it is perfectly normal for both preteen and teenage girls and guys to do it as they explore their own sexuality.
As to why the dildo won't fit in your vagina, they maybe a couple of reasons:
1.) if you have not previously penetrated vagina during masturbation using your fingers, your vagina maybe still be blocked by your hymen.
2.) If you were not sexually aroused, your vagina would be dry (No lubrication) and you being young, your vagina would be tighter then someone older. Therefore I suggest if you want experience using a dildo, you need to first masturbate your clit and finger yourself to get some natural lubrication inside your vagina so the dildo can slide in. (if you don't naturally produce sufficient lubrication you may even need to use some form of lubricate such as baby oil to make your vagina slippery enough to insert the dildo)
