wondering about what's the difference between Pure AOSP, Lineage OS and Lineage FE?
Ok, so if you ever used Lineage OS you might have thought its just plain android without any modifications from Pure AOSP cuz it looks similar, but thats far from the truth, Lineage OS brings many fixes and improvements over Pure AOSP along with some useful features, i.e. some UI customization, improved apps, etc. Now coming to Lineage Fan Edition, It is based on Lineage OS because of its stability, but I've done so many UI changes and added many features like Face Unlock, App Lock, Long Screenshot, Three Finger Screenshot, etc. to make it more attractive even from the first boot, You don't have to toggle anything it just looks good from the start :)
