Troy, a 2004 epic historical war drama film directed by Wolfgang Petersen, was widely criticized for its lack of historical accuracy.
Starring Diane Kruger as Helen of Sparta in one of her more high-profile roles to date, The Guardian called the movie a “historical travesty.”

Troy: Director’s Cut, which was was screened at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival on February 17, 2007, includes almost 30 minutes of extra footage that complete many parts of the storyline. Most film critics consider it superior to the original.

Thanks to her sex scene in Troy, the German actress was ranked Number 50 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005.
