I first knew I wanted to be a math teacher while I was in high school. Math was my best subject and interested me the most. In college, I decided to focus on early childhood education. I graduated from SUNY Buffalo and began teaching pre-kindergarten then kindergarten. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I loved teaching but wanted to teach math. I earned a Masters in Education from Holy Family University while specializing in mathematics and special education. Upon completion of my Masters, I moved to DC to teach at The Lab School, then taught at Portledge School in New York.
More recently, my husband and I started a family and moved back to the DC area. I have been spending lots of time with my two children, Declan and Miles. One of our favorite things to do is to go hiking through the woods in our neighborhood. I also enjoy sharing my love for music and the Yankees with them.
I am thrilled to be teaching at McLean School and look forward to sharing my knowledge of mathematics.
