Nicht annähernd so toll wie Desiree Cousteaus Opus Magnum PRETTY PEACHES, da das hier komplett episodisch erzählt wird. Die Rahmengeschichte ist, wie Desiree zur Adult-Film-Industrie kam und welche Jobs sie vorher so ausprobiert hat, bis sie beim Fickfilm die Erfüllung fand. „For the first Time in my Life, I felt I‘d belong to somewhere“. Sagt sie dann selbst. Zuvor versucht sie es als Reporterin, Vertreterin, Klamottenverkäuferin und Aushilfe auf einem Boot, was natürlich nur Anlässe für Bumsszenen verschiedenster Qualität sind. Dabei macht sie sogar eine Begegnung mit Johnny Holmes Superriemen. Komisch ist hier insbesondere der Musikeinsatz, der von Clownsgedudel über Disco bis Country alles zu bieten hat und sogar 1-2 Songs über Desiree selbst. Und die zugespielten Schmatzgeräusche bei diversen Sexpraktiken sind auch strange. Außer Frage steht auch bei INSIDE DESIREE COUSTEAU ihre supercuteness. Holt dann doch noch einiges raus.
Cousteau’s relatively brief but indelible time in the triple-X spotlight & how she got there is not actually explained in this flick. Spoiler, I’m sorry. With her trademark bubbleheaded delivery, she explains that because every job she’d ever taken had managed to get mixed up with sex, she decided to become an international porn star. It seems she tried journalism, door-to-door sales, clothing sales & boat masseuse. Kirtman can be pretty ropy, but this film is evenly decent. The scenarios are often a bit goofy & sometimes sexy in an easy-going classic porn way. The music runs from sexy disco to kazoo & there are a few theme songs with lyrics about Miss Cousteau. Aunt Peg (Juliet Anderson), John Holmes, Serena, Sharon Kane, Susie Nero & a few others help tell this tale. (XXX)

Desireé Cousteau consegue ser a mais sexy, engraçada e graciosa das atrizes do cinema pornografico ao mesmo tempo e obviamente carrega o filme, as cenas de sexo são bem básicas como se espera dos filmes da época mas só o carisma da atriz é suficiente para tornar a experiência leve e bastante divertida.
I am LIVING for Desiree's little narration/connective tissue bits, god she's so cute I will continue to eat up her shtick as long as I have more of her films to watch. The hardcore scenes aren't amazing, but they have Desiree in them so it's not too bad, although I kinda hate the ADR work that's obviously not the actors themselves (but it's a fucking porno made as a cashgrab on Desiree's popularity, what do you expect?), and the foley work is bad but in a charming way. Overall, it's 80 minutes with Desiree Cousteau, if you like her persona and her body you'll have a great time like I did.
Also, I need Vinegar Syndrome to release this alongside a 45" with the two songs about Desiree featured in the film.

Desireé Cousteau is the stage name of a pornographic actress who made films in the 1970s and 1980s. She is best known for her roles in the 1978 film Pretty Peaches and 1979's Inside Désirée Cousteau . In 1993, she was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame , [1] and in 1997, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame . [2]
Cousteau aspired to be a mainstream model , but was told she was not tall enough or thin enough to succeed. [3] After work modeling lingerie, she posed for Penthouse magazine . [3] She tried making a career as a mainstream actress, landing a small part in the 1974 " women in prison " B-movie Caged Heat . [4] After her career stalled and she grew tired of being sexually propositioned when auditioning for roles, she appeared in her first sex film when adult film director Alex de Renzy asked her to appear in Pretty Peaches . [4] [3]
She worked steadily in adult movies from the late 1970s through the early 1980s, often typecast in sweet, dizzy, naïve roles. [5]
She received the Adult Film Association of America Best Actress Award in 1979 for her performance in the movie Pretty Peaches , [3] [6] [7] with film director Alex de Renzy. [8]
