PIERS MORGAN 'OUTFIT SHAMES' SUSANNA REID IN MIDDLE OF SERIOUS SEGMENT ABOUT THE ROYAL WEDDING
It may be the year of our lord 2018, but Piers Morgan threw it back to the 1970s today by declaring Susanna Reid's bare legs "glorious" as he shared an awkwardly angled snap of her dress.
The Good Morning Britain host embarrassed his co-star live on air as he blamed her short hemline on the studio's heating problem - while the show's three male guests laughed along.
"I don't know if anyone can get access to my Instagram feed while I'm saying this," Piers told the camera, as Susanna - who already had an idea of what Piers was trying to do - cried out "Oh no!"
Piers went on: "I posted a picture - what you can't see is that we were overheating earlier - literally, like the whole studio was overheating and we couldn't work out what it was.
"Then Susanna stood up during the commercial break and I realised that it might be connected to what she's actually wearing today. Have we got a picture?"
Susanna cut in: "No we haven't , what a terrible shame."
Piers continued: "I thought when I clicked my fingers you guys just did things. Come on - there we are!"
As the picture of Susanna wearing the short pink dress flashed up on screen, Piers blasted the graphics team for including the GMB strap across his 'upskirt' shot.
"Slightly killing things, you need the full glory of the leg," he told them.
"No we don't," Susanna interrupted.
"The bottom line is Susann has come in with half a dress on. I think it's the formal announcement that summer has arrived," Piers told the studio.
"Summer is officially declared open."
A little while earlier, Piers had shared the shot on his Instagram.
"Wardrobe department appear to have forgotten the other half of Susanna's dress today. Complaints are NOT pouring in," he captioned it.
But fans weren't entirely impressed, with one telling him: "Piers.. The consumate professional."
Another tweeted: "Piers moaned yesterday about the sexist bafta comments... yet today is ok to comment on his female co star short dress."
And a third wrote: "Oh why must you be such a prig."
