DevOps Engineer

Bamboo Agile, the leading Estonian software development boutique, is looking for a DevOps Engineer (AWS stack) to join the FinTech project. We are a software development boutique with 20 years of experience in launching IT projects across Western Europe, Nordics, the Middle East, and the US in top-notch technology verticals. We develop our products and also provide software development services.

A software product that is targeted at payment companies (Payment Facilitators, Accountants, etc.). The product offers a complete processing of e-commerce payments: from onboarding, verification of the customers, a transaction from the merchant’s website to settlement of funds, as well as analytics and reporting. These services are provided through a mixture of white-labelled and proprietary solutions.

The project team comprises 16+ Middle/Senior tech professionals. You’ll be working side by side with our internal team consisting currently of:

• 5 Backend Engineers (Node.js)
• 3 Frontend Engineers (Angular)
• Business Analyst
• UX/UI Designer
• 3 QA Engineers
• DevOps Engineer
• 2 Engineering Managers
• Product Owner

Responsibilities:

• Managing an existing K8S cluster in AWS EKS;
• Working with Helm, HelmFile;
• Updating GitHub CI/CD workflows;
• Updating infrastructure in AWS (EC2, S3, EKS, etc.) with Terraform.

Requirements:

• Experience with K8S, its performance tuning under high load;
• Experience with AWS - EKS, EC2, other services;
• Experience with configuration management systems / IaaC (Terraform, Ansible);
• Knowledge of Helm, HelmFile;
• Knowledge of CI/CD, GitHub Actions;
• English level - Intermediate.

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerisation tools (docker, docker-compose);
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL;
• Linux server administration;
• Experience with Nginx, Haproxy;
• Experience with VMWare ESXi;
• Experience with SSH, SCP, RDP, VPN;
• Knowledge of scripting languages ​​(Bash, Python, PHP, Perl, etc.);
• Cisco network equipment administration;
• Practical experience in configuring DNS, DHCP.
