Regional NFT Tournaments
In the new season, we are updating the structure of NFT tournaments. Changes will be implemented in stages. In the first stage, we are reducing the number of tournaments in the Global and Regional systems.
As it was in the last Season:
— Global System: Beginner, Lite, Amateur, Semi-Pro, Pro, Legendary, Mix
— Regional System: Amateur and Pro
As it will be in the 2024/25 Season:
— Regional System: Lite and Pro League (EPL, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A)
— Mix System: Brazil Serie A
— Part of the Rest World System
Regional tournaments by leagues:
— EPL (England)
— Serie A (Italy)
— Ligue 1 (France)
— La Liga (Spain)
— Bundesliga (Germany)
— European Cups (combining Champions League, Europa League, Conference League)
— Brazil* (Brazilian Championship)
Entry to Regional tournaments is paid and conducted with the $FTON token. The rake is 0%, meaning the platform does not take a commission from players, and the entire prize pool is distributed among the top 40% of players in the tournament. Players can expect a guaranteed prize pool in $FTON tokens in the Regional tournaments.
Until the $FTON token is implemented, the entry will remain with TON. The implementation of the $FTON token is expected in the first rounds of the top-5 leagues.
Each* of these leagues has two types of tournaments:
— Tournament for lower cards "Lite League"
— Tournament for higher cards "Pro League"
* — Exception — Brazilian Championship. In Brazil, we are keeping one NFT tournament under the Mix system, which allows using different cards without restrictions.
Rules for using NFT cards in Lite League
We will start the season with the current rules, meaning from 3 to 5 Rare in Lite tournaments. After the update, the following rules will apply:
— 3 Rare NFT cards + 2 Common cards
Fanton players will be able to use 2 common cards and 3 Rare cards in their lineups — no other combinations will be allowed. Simply put, the Lite League is a tournament for three Rares. To participate, you need 3 Rare cards.
Position rules: one goalkeeper, one defender, one midfielder, one forward, and one player of any position in the current Substitute slot (70% pts).
After the "Cap" parameter is introduced, a full-fledged 5th player will appear in the Lite and Pro leagues instead of the "Substitute" slot. All five footballers in the team will receive 100% of their points. The player in the 5th slot can belong to any position on the field.
Rules for using NFT cards in Pro League
We will start the season with the current rules, that is, 4 Epic cards + 1 Legendary. After the update, the following rules will apply:
— From 1 to 2 Legendary cards (at least one Legendary is required, but a maximum of two Legendary can be used)
— From 3 to 4 Epic cards (a maximum of 4 out of 5, since one slot is definitely taken by 1 Legendary. A minimum of 3 Epic cards in the tournament)
— From 0 to 1 Rare cards (one rare is allowed, but it is not a mandatory condition for participation; you can play only with Epics and Legendaries)
— Common cards are not allowed
Position rules: one goalkeeper, one defender, one midfielder, one forward, and one player of any position in the current Substitute slot.
After the "Cap" parameter is introduced, a full-fledged 5th player will appear in the Lite and Pro leagues instead of the "Substitute" slot. All five footballers in the team will receive 100% of their points. The player in the fifth slot can belong to any position on the field.
Prize Pool of Regional Tournaments
Until the $FTON token is implemented, the entry will remain with TON. The implementation of the $FTON token is expected in the first rounds of the top 5 leagues.
Regional tournaments are tournaments with entry fees paid in $FTON tokens. The top 40% of players win $FTON tokens. The platform's commission for conducting tournaments is 0%. This means we do not collect rake in these tournaments. We plan to create tournaments with guaranteed prize pools, as well as Grand tournaments for these leagues.
NFT Prizes for Leaderboard Participants, Card Issuance
A distinctive feature of Fanton's NFT direction is that we have a limited number of cards. We can't mint new cards every year, as the rules are immutable for the top 5 European leagues' tournaments: 1 Legendary, 3 Epic, and 12 Rare cards per footballer. Therefore, it is important for us to maintain balance in the issuance of NFT cards.
We aim to reduce the issuance of prize cards in NFT tournaments, as this affects the balance of supply and demand in Secondary market. Starting from the new season, we will gradually reduce the number of prize cards.
The first step will be the introduction of Leaderboards for each Regional league. Every month, the top-15 winners of the Leaderboards in the Lite League and Pro League tournaments for each championship will receive NFT cards as prizes. We will provide additional information on the exact distribution of rarity and tiers in the prizes — we are working on the balancing.
Example: Player Artemiy R. participates in EPL tournaments in the Lite League format. In August and September, Artemiy will play in the first 5 rounds of the EPL using his Rare cards. We will sum up the Trophies he earned over these five rounds and publish a public table of EPL Lite League Trophies, similar to what we did for the NFT EURO-2024. Links will be provided in a separate post about NFT Leaderboards.
Lite and Pro Leaderboard Schedule using the EPL as an Example:
1. Rounds 1 to 5 of the EPL (5)
2. Rounds 6 to 9 of the EPL (4)
3. Rounds 10 to 13 of the EPL (4)
4. Rounds 14 to 18 of the EPL (5)
5. Rounds 19 to 23 of the EPL (5)
6. Rounds 24 to 27 of the EPL (4)
7. Rounds 28 to 31 of the EPL (4)
8. Rounds 32 to 35 of the EPL (4)
9. Rounds 36 to 38 of the EPL (3)
After each period, for example from Rounds 1 to 5 of EPL, players accumulate Trophies. The player who accumulates the most Trophies will win NFT cards from the project after Leaderboard for Rounds 1-5 of the EPL ends. Similar leaderboards will be available for players in all top 5 leagues, as well as the European Cups and Brazil separately:
— Lite League: EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, + UEFA tournament
— Pro League: EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, + UEFA tournament
— Mix League: Serie A Brazil
In total, we will have ~9 periods in the Season, for each of which we will distribute NFT prizes. The official schedule of the Leaderboards for each league will be published in a separate article.
Rules for Accumulating Trophies
The rules for accumulating Trophies apply to both Regional tournaments and the Seasonal Fanton Dubai 2025 tournaments.

Future Features of Regional Tournaments
During the 2024/25 season, the "Cap" feature will be introduced in regional tournaments, which is a budget limit on the points you can use to select players for your lineup.
During the 2024/25 season, the "Substitute" slot will be removed in Regional Tournaments, meaning all five players will receive 100% of their points.
Seasonal NFT Tournaments Fanton Dubai 2025
One of the first innovations in Fanton's NFT direction will be seasonal mini-tournaments with free entry. We aim to increase the value of NFTs by giving them something special. After internal discussions, we decided to create mini-seasonal tournaments, with the main prize being trip to the offline event Fanton Dubai 2025, which we will organize after the end of the 2024/25 season. Additional prizes will include $FTON tokens. Here’s how it will work!
A pleasant feature of the NFT season tournaments is that we can launch them as early as August, with the first rounds of the top-5 European leagues. How will the tournaments be conducted?
TOP-5 System for Leading European Leagues: EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga. The TOP-5 system allows you to use cards from the top 5 European leagues.
The mini-season calendar is counted by months, not rounds:
Season 1: Tournaments for the top 5 European leagues from August to September
Season 2: Tournaments for the top 5 European leagues from October to November
Season 3: Tournaments for the top 5 European leagues from December to January
Season 4: Tournaments for the top 5 European leagues from February to March
Season 5: Tournaments for the top 5 European leagues from April to May
Players can compete for 2 tickets to Fanton Dubai 2025 Event Each Season. A total of 10 tickets will be awarded over five seasons:
- One ticket will be awarded in Lite League Leaderboard for each of the 5 Seasons.
- One ticket will be awarded in Pro League Leaderboard for each of the 5 Seasons.
To determine the best players of mini-seasons, we will use the Trophy mechanic. The rules for accumulating Trophies are the same as in the Regional Tournaments. For each of the five seasons, we will create two Leaderboards by leagues: Lite League and Pro League.
In Season 1, the card application rules in these tournaments will remain the same: 3 to 5 Rare cards in Lite League and 4 Epic + 1 Legendary in Pro League. After the introduction of the new Regional Tournaments system, the Seasonals will use the new rules from regional Lite and Pro tournaments. The introduction of Cap in seasonal NFT tournaments is not planned yet but may be considered in future.
Each player can win a trip to the event only once. This means that if a player wins a ticket, for example, in Season 1 in the Pro League, he can't win another ticket in a later Season, even if he win the Lite League in Season 3. If a player takes 1st place in both leagues in one Season, the second ticket will go to a player who took second place in the Pro League of that season.
If a player wins a ticket in one of the Seasons, in the next seasons, he can compete for $FTON tokens. If such a player wins a Season again, the ticket will go to the next player in the league’s leaderboard.

Prize Pool for Season 1 — Starting at 100,000 FTON
Lite League Winners:
1st place: 15,000 FTON + trip to FT Dubai 2025 + Fanton T-shirt
2nd place: 10,000 FTON
3rd place: 5,000 FTON
4th place: 4,000 FTON
5th place: 3,000 FTON
6th place: 3,000 FTON
Pro League Winners:
1st place: 25,000 FTON + trip to FT Dubai 2025 + Fanton T-shirt
2nd place: 20,000 FTON
3rd place: 6,000 FTON
4th place: 4,000 FTON
5th place: 3,000 FTON
6th place: 2,000 FTON
Minimum prize pool is 100,000 FTON for twelve fantasy players across the two leagues. Prize pool may be expanded during Season 1.
In the future, winners of the NFT seasonals may gain additional privileges in the Fanton Fantasy game.
Qualification for Fanton Dubai 2025 through Regional Tournament Path
During the 2024/25 season, there will be another valuable prize in Regional Lite and Pro leagues in TOP-5. Players who take the top-3 spots in the Leaderboards of both leagues will receive tickets to a special tournament that we will hold in April-May 2025.
Example: Players Red_Green, velzzer, and romkkoy played in the first 5 Rounds of EPL, in the Pro League, in August-September. They took the top-3 places in EPL Leaderboard for this league, so they will receive a ticket to a special NFT tournament at the end of the Season 1, where they can compete for a trip to Fanton Dubai 2025.
Each player can win such a ticket in Lite and Pro Leaderboards of Regional leagues only once. If such a player wins the Leaderboard again, the ticket will go to the player who took the next highest place in league. Tickets can't be traded or won for someone else. Ticket transfers are not allowed.

NFT Duels and 0% Rake in Regional Tournaments
We are eliminating the rake in Regional NFT tournaments and NFT Duels. This means that entire prize pool, generated from participant fees or guaranteed by devs, will be distributed solely among the tournament winners.
Regarding NFT Duels, they will be offered in three formats:
- Beginner: 1 Rare card, 4 Common cards, with a substitute player
- Lite: Following the regional tournament system without a cap
- Pro: Following the regional tournament system without a cap
The Duel tournaments will be scheduled based on the day's matches, for example, all Saturday or Sunday matches in the top-5 European leagues. The goal of the Duels is to provide daily gameplay and increase the engagement of NFT players, allowing lineup creation not only on Friday evenings.
We are introducing Leaderboards for NFT Duelists. These leaderboards will be synchronized with the mini-seasonal NFT tournaments for participant convenience. There will be three leaderboards in total: Beginner, Lite, and Pro.
At the end of each of 5 Seasons, the winners of each of the three leaderboards will be determined based on number of Duels won. Prizes will include Rare and Epic cards for the top three winners of each leaderboard.
Special incentive to play in Duels is the 12th ticket to Fanton Dubai 2025 event for the best Duelist of the season! Any fantasy manager who wins any of the Duel leaderboards at least once in Seasons 1-4 will qualify for a separate league, which will be held in Duels during Season 5 from April to May.
Rules for Simultaneous Use of NFTs
In the new system, we will have Regional Tournaments, Duels and Mini-Seasons.
- Regional Tournaments: NFT card can only be used in one league of Regional tournaments. For example, it can be used in the Lite League but not simultaneously in Pro League.
- Mini-Season Tournaments: NFT card can be used simultaneously in a Regional Tournament of a specific league and in Mini-Season Tournaments.
- Duels and Mini-Season Tournaments: NFT card can be used simultaneously in both Duels and Mini-Season Tournaments.
- Duels and Regional Tournaments: NFT card can't be used simultaneously in both Duels and Regional Tournaments.
We are open to community feedback and will consider adjusting the rules for the simultaneous use of NFT cards if necessary.
Cap in Regional Tournaments
Cap is a points restriction when selecting footballers for a tournament. In Fanton, the cap will be calculated based on the L15 parameter — points from a player's last 15 matches for their club. The cap will be calculated using the pure points of a Common card, without applying the NFT rarity multiplier of footballer.
In tournaments with cap, we plan to remove the Substitution player mechanic. This means all 5 footballers will earn 100% of their points, and the player from the previous Substitution slot can belong to any position on the field.
Example of a team assembled for an EPL tournament:
- Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford - 209 points
- Defender: Nathan Ake - 116 points
- Midfielder: Jeffrey Schlupp - 46 points
- Forward: Erling Haaland - 177 points
- Any player (in this example, a defender): Milos Kerkez - 93 points
209+116+46+177+93 = 641 points — fitting within a cap of 650 points. We are still deciding on the exact cap value for the tournaments. "Cap 650" is used here for illustration purposes.
In the fall of 2024, we plan to introduce the Cap for Regional tournaments in the Lite and Pro leagues. Tournaments that will remain without a Cap include NFT-Duels, NFT Mini-Season, and a special new tournament called FTON Threshold, which we will discuss further.
New Tournament Type: FTON Threshold
This mode is currently in development, and we will publish a more detailed description in the fall. The essence of the mode is that players can select a specific points threshold they aim to surpass in an NFT tournament using the Global system without a cap. The entry fee is paid in $FTON.
Example 1: player kvadmen has several NFT cards in his lineup and wants to participate in FTON Threshold tournament. When entering the tournament, player selects points threshold he wants to surpass. This choice determines the multiplier applied to the entry fee if he exceed the selected points threshold. Kvadmen aims to score a hypothetical 1,500 points in tournament.
The player participates in tournament with an entry fee of 100 FTON. If he exceed the chosen points threshold, he will win 200 FTON at the end of tournament, as the multiplier was x2. Ideally, the entry fee can be adjusted by the player using a slider, allowing them to set the fee from 100 to 1000 $FTON.
We are developing various multipliers and entry fee options so players can decide which threshold to aim for. The tournament is still in development — stay tuned for announcements.
Part of the Rest World Tournament
The long-awaited tournament for NFT cards from various leagues around the world is currently in development. We are examining the technical capabilities and league schedules to process data from different championships. Tentatively, we plan to create a weekly tournament using the Mix system (any combination of cards), featuring national leagues from five countries:
- USA, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia, Portugal
A leaderboard will be created for the tournament, where players can win FTON and NFT cards according to the rules of Regional tournaments.
If we can technically handle match data from other leagues, the number of covered championships will increase. Please note that this tournament is in development, and its release depends on the completion of other priority updates.
Achievements next to player nicknames
Another new feature currently in development is achievements which we plan to introduce in Fanton. Next to the player's nickname in each tournament, we have the ability to add pictures for special achievements in our game. These badges can be temporary, for example, awarded for one season and displayed in the player's profile.
We aim to make NFT players the first recipients of these awards — we believe that such customization will be another reason to closely follow the NFT aspect of the game. One of the first achievements could be winning in NFT mini-seasons.
We like the idea that an achievement not only serves as a mark of a player's success but also provides a bonus in Fanton tournaments system. We will consider how best to implement such functionality.
NFT Market Update Within the Product
We understand the importance of providing mass users with a convenient way to trade NFT cards within the game. Currently, the market lacks various features: from listing NFTs for sale to conducting auctions, placing offers, other trading and search capabilities. Expect an update to the market during the season, but only after the release of the aforementioned updates.
That's all for now — play in Fanton NFT tournaments and don't forget to share your feedback in the Russian chat of the game: Fanton RU Chat
