This is the 8 scene dvd. Manual masturbation with heavy equipment, toys, 70's porn, watersports, scat & more. Pretty much anything from the brightest sections of the porn filled internet to the darker, harder to find fetishes. As posted before, this is a collection of what 8 different people say is erotic or what they like porn-wise. Some is grainy & hard to see. Others are recent, clean & light filled detail. Parts of this made me skip ahead while others were enjoyable to watch. If you are a fan of erotica & wish to partake in the buffet, then this is a wonderful dvd. If you only want fries with that, then you will be disappointed.
Saw it during 2006 Sundance in Salt Lake City. Had to pinch myself to see if I was still in Utah. Here are words I would use to describe the film: Revolutionary! Astounding! Eye opening! Enlightening! More recently the film was banned by the Salt Lake City Library. They refused to add it. Many other libraries have the title also (ref world cat dot org). They refuse to say why they won't add it. Modern day Fahrenheit 451, brought to you by the people who majored in marketing and public relations in college, instead of history or even library science. "If we refuse to speak about why we won't add your donated title, it's not censorship." I don't think so. Played at Sundance and Cannes, including at the Salt Lake Film Society's Broadway during Sundance. Suggest getting yourself a copy today, if for no other reason that to help respond to the fact that the film was just banned by the Salt Lake City Library! Hey, it played here in 2006. But apparently in 2014 people are still afraid of sex. Buy a copy, and donate a copy to your local library. Sounds like a plan. And if they refuse to add it, complain. That's my suggestion!
Really disappointed! I thought this would be a neat little erotica ride that my wife and I could pop in while enjoying an evening together. This seems more like a, Film Class experimental project with some 70's porn clips snuck in. If you are looking for an Artsy film without dialogue (which I can enjoy when in a different mood) then you may enjoy this. If you are looking for something to get your fever up and heart pumping, PLEASE save your money and look elsewhere.
This is not for the sensitive, weak of spirt, or easily offended; the sex is real, in your face, and you can sweat, warts, hair, and body fluids. I really liked it, it adds a new dimension to porn.
I wanted to see for my self what all the mixed reviews were about on Destricted. I really like Gaspar Noe as a director so that was my main reason for purchasing this dvd. I thought it was a bit over the top on some of the videos and uncomfortable to view. I do like shocking stuff but some of it was just tastless. Larry Clarks' was my favorite and Gaspar Noes' had the best film work.
This DVD offers a very different view of sexual adventures than any to date.I recomend it to anyone wanting somethying different.

I saw Destricted at Sundance when it premiered, it was shocking and so fantastic in equal measure. My favourite was Larry Clark's film, which was a funny, sad and an insight into american youth and their idea of sex today. There is not alot out there like destricted, people will love or hate it but I feel that true independent is all about ideas like this. There are a few films to choose from on a DVD menu, so you can choose what you watch and in what order, now thats what I call being in control of your viewing pleasure!

arty and odd
This isnt sexy or even really erotic , I did find it entertaining ; in an ooh its an art instillation about sex [ although not as fun or graphic as Steve mcQueen wrestling short ] . I did really want to like this , but appart from larry Clark non of the others seemed able to really let themselves go. Loved looking at Matthew barney in an odd , what on earth is happening giggle but by the end I was falling asleep. Its a cheap price so I supose its worth buying just to experience its silly Monty Python sex [ there isnt much sexy here at all ; should have found some Mappelthorpe photos ] , this is rather tame and anti sexy . Would recommend the swedish dirty diaries if want to want arty erotic . Maybe a little censorship and editing might have made it better .

A number of the films were pure indulgences on the part of the director/producer and made for very poor viewing. Two of the others were presented at high speed and impossible to follow, and the only one to make much sense was that of Larry parks. If you suffer from migraines etc do not buy this film as the strobe effects could be very unsettling.

Interesting but not brilliant
More of a discussion resource for psychology courses than exciting (or even stimulating) film. You have to wonder why these people made these short films. They can't be that short of money. The Abramovic contribution was very tongue-in-cheek (very much avoided tongue-in-anywhere else!)
Several short movies by different directors on the boundaries between Eros and porn. Some weird stuff was fun. But not great. Nothing shocking. I gave it 5 out of 10 at IMDb.

As helmed by a series of avant-garde performance artists and provocateurs, the seven-episode omnibus picture Destricted both pays homage to classic porn and deconstructs the concepts of obscenity and voyeurism, with a series of extreme tonal variations on the sexual act. The premier episode, artist Matthew Barney's "Hoist" (which is laced with transsexual metaphors) depicts a bizarre mating ritual between a man with a giant cucumber for a penis and a 50-ton deforesting Caterpillar truck. For the second go-round, House Call, notorious still photographer Richard Prince (best known for "re-photographing" the Garry Gross nudes of Brooke Shields) re-shoots to the point of graininess (and re-dubs) images from a "classic" hardcore sequence involving an encounter between a stud (John Saint John) and a chesty woman (Kora Reed), and their kinky games with a thermometer. Commercial veteran Marco Brambilla authored the third episode, "Sync" - a kind of "teaser" - by splicing together thousands of split-second sequences from sex scenes in both hardcore and mainsteam features, and "matching up" the action (creating a sequence with it of the various film segments), from foreplay to climax. Controversial director Larry Clark (Kids, Ken Park) authored the fourth (and longest, at 38 minutes) segment, entitled "Impaled"; it begins with a series of spontaneous, one-on-one interviews with adolescent boys, where Clark asks them intimate questions about their sexual fantasies and sexual desires, and indicates that he plans to select one to undergo an unsimulated, hardcore sex scene with an actual porno actress. The film then cuts to the "act" itself, which proves ironically mechanical and untitillating for its male participant. Sam Taylor-Wood' "Death Valley" constitutes the fifth segment and offers an extended (voyeuristic) glimpse of a man in the desert who masturbates to ejaculation. The sixth segment, Marina Abramovic's much-acclaimed "Balkan Erotic Epic," provides a riotous parody of ethnic sexual rituals, in which women expose their breasts and "mate" with the ground, and men fertilize gardens with their semen.
