“The annual U.S. Open Beer Competition returned to its normal schedule at its new event center in Oxford, Ohio following two years of pandemic-related schedule changes. Breweries sent more than 9,000 brews representing over 150 styles of beer to be judged, along with home brews that have medaled at the 2021 American Homebrew Association’s national competition.”
Desperate Times Brewery earned a Bronze Medal in the Munchner Dunkel Category for their DTB Dunkle and a Silver Medal in the Strong Scottish Ale Category for Wee Heavy Scottish Ale.

“Breweries from Antioquia, Columbia to Columbia, South Carolina sent more than 8000 beers representing over 140 different styles to the 2021 U.S. Open Beer Championship . Today, the U.S. Open Beer Championship announces the medal winners and Grand National Champion.
Also due to the COVID-19 pandemic, judging was held in both the U.S. and Canada. The main U.S. judging was held at the new U.S. Open Event Center in Oxford, Ohio . The U.S. Open became the first beer competition to be held in its own venue which is a 6000 square foot Amish pole barn located on a small farm.
Judging in the U.S. Open Beer Championships is blind; judges know only the categories, not the names or locations of beers being judged.”

This competition is the only one to include beers from professional breweries and beers from gold medal winners from the National AHA Homebrew Competition.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, judging was held in both the U.S. and Canada, at locations including Atlanta, GA; Oxford, Ohio; and Welland, Ontario. Judging in the U.S. Open Beer Championships is blind; judges know only the categories, not the names or locations of beers being judged.”

“Cumberland County’s beverage scene has exploded in recent years. Breweries, in particular, are doing quite well, with the county ranking number 10 in the state for the number of breweries, according to the “Breweries in Pennsylvania” website. Many of these establishments work as hard on their food as they do on their beer and therefore should be taken into consideration when making dinner plans.

For the second year, a variety breweries, from well-known brands to smaller ventures, earned awards in the craft beer competition.
Desperate Times Brewery took home second place in the Dark Lager Category for Black Forest.
Breweries from Russia to Rhode Island sent in more than 7,000 beers representing over 130 different styles for the 2019 U.S. Open Beer Championship. The competition is the only one to include beers from professional breweries and award-winning home-brewers, with judges from England, Canada and the United States.
The award-winning Desperate Times Brewery earned a Silver Medal in the German Wheat Ale Category for their German Weizen.

Craft beer finally had its day at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.
On Saturday January 2, 2019 the first-ever beer competition awards were presented to dozens of breweries across the state.
A variety of breweries, from well-known brands to smaller ventures, earned awards.

This book is just ok. The MC is some sort of writer and web designer who has done decently, able to own a small house. The world has been going through a pandemic, and society isn’t doing that well. He gets a text from his best friend about coming over to chill, and off we go. Eventually an apparent solar flare EMP makes everything electric go belly up, and society craters instantly. The story is pretty bare bones, spending a bulk of the time on sex, and some inane time on scenes that seem useless to the overall book. The MC is ok. His two girlfriends jump at the opportunity to be with him before the event. They are somewhat different and a lot similar. If gratuitous profanity annoys you or makes characters seem childish, this book will get old quick. It’s 184 pages long, and there are 271 f-bombs to enjoy, plus plenty of other colorful words. The MC sometimes sounds like a 15yr old trying to sound cool by cussing, even though he’s just thinking in his own head. The sex scenes are better than many in the harem genre.
Just finished all three books, have been reading more apocalyptic stories lately but not many that deal with solar flares. While no one in the group died, I could see the solar flares actually happening in the real world. A few editing errors but I enjoyed the storyline.
What a horrible run of bad luck for all three people. However the characters in this book are very realistic. The settings are great. And last but not least, the action is very vivid.
Dom Chole and Anya leave his home in the city on two hundred mile hike to reach a remote cabin to ride out the hopeful recovery from the emp.
Great read! Can't wait for the next episode of this story. Funny and thought pervoking experience. Enjoyed reading this story.
And sadly so many think they have till tomorrow. Dom did and now he has to take care of himself and two gorgeous women. Time to see how good a man he truly is.
So he MC is alright with maybe too PC views. The writing is easy to follow and flows well. Looking forward to second book. Thanks L.L.
Well done Misty. I myself prefer these types of characters. Easier to relate to than creature girls. Excellent eroticism, good characters and potentially realistic plot line. Can't wait to read parts 2&3.

Fantastic first book in the series. Great character development, very sexy, great story and surprisingly realistic; hitting very close to home. I can't wait for the next book.
