A Desperate Cry

June 5, 2022

Paul Cook

Anxiousness , Authority , Faith , Healing , Jesus

John

47 When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
Faith almost always starts in a crisis. When things are going good, it’s easy to forget God, but when life tumbles in around us, we suddenly start looking to heaven for help.
In our passage today, an official’s son is dying and this man comes to Jesus out of desperation. Jesus heals his son but not before chastizing the group that people are looking for signs and miracles for belief.
Jesus is not just a healer – a side show attraction, but He is the Son of God. Are we just looking for what Jesus can do for us, or are we ready to serve Him as Lord of all?

Sacrifice is pleasure
When life ends in pain
Conceive the last mistake
Which belongs to all

Creation of insane rule
All we hear:
Desperate cry

Death the coldest wind
Seeps into your pores
A nation born of hate
Forgotten distant time

Creation of insane rule
All we hear:
Desperate cry

Endless empty maze
Despair, distress and silence
A poison vacuum, infinity
Life, lies, deceit

Mute souls end in silence
Oceans tainted with blood
Empty promises of hope
Buried deep, infected ground

Creation of insane rule
All we hear:
Desperate cry

Cry!

Testament - "Souls Of Black" Can't you see
That in the world we live in

They'll put an end to this
Land of the livin

Poised,...
Metallica - "Fuel" Gimme fuel
Gimme fire
Gimme that which I desire
Ooh!

Yeah!
Turn on... I see red
Adrenaline crash and crack my head
Nitro junkie, paint me dead
And I see red

One hundred plus through black and...
Melvins - "Revolve" Freedom on like stems from walk away.
You gotta hold your time,
You gotta hit it with the right of way.
Maybe black too far for any like the one seen.
In a way it's sane,
Either way it's gotta mean....
Suicidal Tendencies - "Trip At The Brain" Tripping...

Ha-ha-ha-ha... Tripping! I gotta gotta take a trip, gotta take a trip out of this place
I gotta gotta get away, get away from the human race
I don't know what I'll see, don't even know...
