A business cabin has been economy classed to within an inch of its life, too few crew and those that are on duty disorganised and stressed. Alitalia is far better than Swissair in terms of professionalism and of politeness. I will always discourage anyone from flying Swissair. Worst company ever. Furthermore, the meal service was very slow. It seemed as if most of the staff was very young and likely inexperienced. Perhaps it would be better to mix younger, less experienced staff with more seasoned staff. I flew three other Swiss flights during my European vacation and the service was much faster. Incidentally, most of the staff on these other flights were older and probably more experienced. On the plane, absolute unnecessarily they had extra unoccupied seats they took one of our carry-on-s with the check in luggage. Our flight arrived late and was met by airline representatives looking to help passengers with tight connections. Arriving transfer passengers must go through Turkish airport security. Turkish security did set up an operation right at the gate. This both expedited things and relieved the stress of going through the process far from the gate. The plane was an older Boeing it had no winglets and I think the seat cushion was the original one. Turkish Airlines does not communicate with its passengers. If the flight is late as both of ours were , you wait with no information as to when the flight leaves. The same lack of communication occurs once you on board.
