The Denali Park Road is plowed in winter as far as Park Headquarters, and the snow is groomed for several miles beyond that point. The snow will sometimes remain loose or unconsolidated, however, so use caution if proceeding beyond Park Headquarters.

February is "off season" in Denali. We are deep into winter. There will not be tours running, nearly all restaurants are closed for the winter, there could even be snow and you're likely to experience below zero temperatures!
Winter is a special time along the Denali Highway The road is closed for traffic but groomed for snowmachine access and the area presents epic opportunities for ice fishing, dog sledding and riding snowmachines in the Alaska Range and Denali Clearwater Mountains with the lodges providing delicious meals and a warm cozy base for your adventures.
