So, I started GFL about a week ago, no idea this event was coming.. This looks like a big deal. I have one effective Echelon at 30+ in levels.. Uh.. How much higher do I need to get to be able to at least do some of the content? I've been reading guides to try and be effective, but I feel like I'm not going to be able to get much out of this.. :<
Event lasts one month, plenty of time to level dolls and try to clear Chapter 2 of DD.
That said, for Chapter 1 you need 50-70 lvl x4 dolls. Starting from Chapter 2, you'd need more than 1 90x5 echelons, geared towards night battles.
So, Chapter 1 is pretty easy, others, not sure, but you can try.
Same thing happened to me with the last big event, just grind the hell out of a main echelon (I suggest throwing all your cores into linking the tdolls you get for story completion except M16) and do your best. I struggled to get the rewards but I did get a lot of the non-ranking ones.
BTW the key to a lot of the later maps is the fact that you can claim a territory if two dolls are adjacent, even if they're connected by a 1 way road. This means that you often need to put 2 dolls in disconnected sections of the map together to form capture points so you can take key heliports for rescues and connect supply lines. Sometimes you need to do this just so you can claim a heliport and deploy a doll on the other side of a 1 way path

Quick question about hostage rescue. Once an echelon has picked up a hostage for rescue, can they still participate in combat?
Yes, you just have to not lose any battles.
What seems to be the advantage for rescuing dolls? Are they just guaranteed drops if you get them out of there, or are they necessary for completing the mission successfully?
The Dolls that need to be escorted are just to complete the mission.

Can anyone help me with E 2-2? I've looked at the guides but they didn't seem to help me, I have echelons made of the recommended t-dolls types to use, but the goliaths just one shot my teams each time and its getting really annoying. Any help/advice is appreciated, I also wasn't sure where else to ask this kind of thing, sorry if this is the wrong place
