📅 December 15 Filing Deadline

If the IRS approved your individual extension to file your tax return through December 15, this is a reminder that the deadline is fast approaching.

Who this applies to:

• you were outside the United States on April 15;

• you filed an extension (Form 4868) through October 15;

• you submitted a separate request to the IRS asking to extend the deadline to December 15 and received approval.

Important to remember:

• the extension applies only to filing, not to payment;

• interest and penalties accrue on any unpaid tax starting April 15;

• the IRS expects to receive your tax return no later than December 15.
