MTV - But even more visually shocking for readers and viewers alike was the love scene between King Tommen Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell — which, again, never happens in the books, due to the large age difference between the two characters. They made Tommen a bit older on the series, but actor Dean-Charles Chapman was still 16 years old when he filmed the scene… while his scene partner Natalie Dormer was 33. “It was very disturbing,” Chapman told MTV News over the phone on Monday, after he watched his first love scene on the big screen. “Normally when my stuff’s on the telly, I don’t watch my own bits. But this was such a big scene for my character, so I checked it out… I found out about that scene by reading the script, and I was really shocked. I didn’t think it would have gone down like that on screen. I was nervous to just be pretend marrying Natalie Dormer.” As “disturbing” and Kylie-and-Tyga-esque as it was to view on screen, however, Chapman added that his time on set was made easier by the calming presence of Dormer, who is a seasoned pro at this sort of thing by now.

Close your eyes and enjoy it. But definitely don’t close your eyes. Sneak every peak you can while Natalie Dormer is kinda sorta naked and on top of you. She’s the hottest chick on the show and I won’t accept any other nominations. Everything she does gives me a boner. At this point (since I don’t know what’s happening on the show, big surprise) every time I watch GOT I’m just hoping Dormer gets naked. It’s what keeps me coming back. And for this kid to have the audacity to complain about fake boning her is insulting. I guess he thinks it’s weird because their ages are so much different? Get a clue. There’s 15 year olds sleeping with 30 year old teachers all across this great nation. It’s a thing of beauty. And I can guarantee none of the teachers are even close to as hot as Dormer is. Sit back and enjoy this, bud. I don’t want to see any more quotes about how it sucks having Margaery Tyrell have pretend sex with you. My life sucks enough as is without hearing things like that.

With the trailer for Game of Thrones season six having just dropped, everyone is attempting to decipher just what is going on, analysing every frame top to bottom.
At the same time, numerous interviews with cast members have finally reached the internet, with one in particular with Dean-Charles Chapman doing the rounds.
The 18-year-old actor was speaking at a roundtable discussion when he was asked about the sex scene between his character Tommen Baratheon and Natalie Dormer’s Margaery Tyrell.
When first aired, viewers were quick to not how awkward it all seemed, many noting the age difference between the two actors - Dormer is 34-years-old. Yet, according to Chapman, it wasn’t awkward what-so-ever.
"I wasn't expecting that and (creators) David Benioff and Dan Weiss as a joke came up to me and told me, 'Oh, we've done you a favour, we've written you in a cheeky little sex scene' and I was like, 'cheers.' That was the last thing I was expecting," Chapman said according to International Business Times .
"It's not awkward, it might look awkward on screen because of the age difference but it's pretend, it's all pretend. We're actors, Natalie's a lovely person; she made me feel unbelievably comfortable. Hopefully she was comfortable with me. But the sex scene and stuff, it all ran smoothly. It's all planned, we talk about it... it's a normal day."
He added that the most difficult thing about playing Tommen was acting younger than he really is, Tommen being 12 in the books while he was 16 at the time of filming.
"That was the hardest thing for me. When it was published that I was going to play Tommen, all the fans of the books were like, 'Oh, he's turning 16' - that was the hardest thing: to play younger and show that.”
