Pickup trucks are insanely popular. Nobody questions that, yet a question that often goes unasked is just how safe they are. That may be because pickup trucks are so versatile and functional that safety becomes a backburner priority. For years safety organizations like the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have been warning people that the passenger seat of vehicles is especially deadly. In response, car manufacturers have worked hard to enhance the safety of the passenger seat in vehicles. Yet even with these safety improvements, the passenger seat in these pickup trucks is dangerous. Let’s look at their safety ratings.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says that frontal crashes are the most common type of crash to end in fatalities. Years ago things were even worse, but safety organizations have been setting standards for car manufacturers to meet, and it’s helped improve the safety of the front seats.
Still, things aren’t perfect. The IIHS conducts a test called the small overlap frontal test on both the driver and passenger side of vehicles. They began doing the driver side in 2012 in addition to a moderate overlap test. They say, “The test is designed to replicate what happens when the front left corner of a vehicle collides with another vehicle or an object like a tree or utility pole.” In particular, it measures how well the seat belt and airbags do.
To conduct this test, the IIHS simulates what happens when a vehicle traveling at 40 mph hits a 5-foot tall rigid barrier. Specifically, the front left 25% of the vehicle hits the barrier in the driver side test. Once the IIHS started including this test in their ratings, car manufacturers began making the driver side of vehicles safer.
Unfortunately, the safety measure they took didn’t always carry over to the passenger side. In 2017, the IIHS added the small overlap passenger side test to try to encourage car manufacturers to make the passenger seat safer as well. Although things have gotten better, they’re often still not quite as safe as the driver seat. Let’s look at the trucks that still don’t have a passenger side whose safety matches the driver’s side.
The Honda Ridgeline may have many positive attributes, but its safety ratings on the passenger side aren’t one of them. The 2022 Ridgeline gets just an acceptable rating on the passenger side small overlap crash test.
The 2022 Chevy Silverado has a number of alarming safety ratings, but its passenger side small overlap test is certainly among them. It gets just a marginal rating in this test. However, the rest of its major overall crashworthiness scores are good. Yet its headlights and seat belt reminders are poor, and its child safety seat LATCH ease of use is just marginal.
It’s no surprise that if the 2022 Chevy Silverado has a marginal passenger side small overlap result, the 2022 GMC Sierra Limited would, too. That’s because these trucks are mechanical twins. In fact, its overall test scores are the same with the exception of the seat belt reminders, which weren’t tested in the GMC Sierra Limited.
Another large pickup truck on the list with less-than-stellar safety ratings is the 2022 Nissan Titan . It gets just an acceptable rating for its passenger side small overlap crash test. In addition, its headlights have a poor rating.

The standout performer is Sarah Hunter, but she only has one scene which is Girl/Girl, then she is dead. Storyline remains fresh throughout, with new encounter popping up here and there... most but not all are decent. Tattoos on only one performer; not too disgusting.

The actresses were very beautiful! 5 stars

Soft core porn...thats about all it really is...

Nothing to rave about. A lot of sex scenes that lasted too long and made up a large volume of the movie. Not much of a story. Would not waste my time with this one.

The story was okay and so were some of the scenes. It was the acting that I thought was terrible.

I have yet to finish this movie. Every time, I fall asleep before the opening credits.

More than simply 'Deadly Eye-Candy'

Sub-thriller homicide story with an unusual killer - she's turned on by killing after sex. Of course, everyone is guaranteed to be drop-dead gorgeous but rather than relying merely on looks, the acting is also perfectly acceptable too. So 'Deadly Pickup' is not bad if you are tired of seeing criminals with their clothes on, I guess. Not much imagination went onto the story, to be quite frank; the plot could have been refined, and the direction too, until the suspense at the end was at breaking point but this is usually too much to ask in films resting partly on sex and nudity. It is a pity that one thing often will take the place of another. Why can't the direction encompass both? Having said that, there is pleasing variety in this film in terms of the fate of the various participants in the story.. A notable exception to this generic complacency is the recommended film "Naked Fear", which manages to keep you on the edge of your seat almost to its rather misconceived end.

It’s really soft porn

Cover and storyline matched, not a bad story.

Terrable movie put in garbage where it belomgs

Mundane soft porn story line. Give the cast 2 stars for trying.

Breezy isn't your ordinary hitch-hiker: she's sexy, fun... and a cold-blooded killer. As deadly as a viper, Breezy murders her victims with a poisonous ring. As she preys on highway pickups, Breezy moves from town to town, finally settling briefly as a boarder in the house of a young couple who have no idea what kind of sexual wolf they've just let in the door. Carter Cruise, Kia Noir, and the voluptuous Sarah Hunter star in this sizzling hot erotic thriller.

Congratulations on the purchase of your brand-new pickup truck!
The front end of the new GMC Yukon. For reference, I'm 6'1". The top of the hood is nearly up to my shoulders. pic.twitter.com/Ls7HVzif9N
Whether you bought a Sierra, like the one in the photo above, or a Yukon, which the tweeter mistakenly thought he was standing next to, or a Ram or a Silverado or a Jeep Gladiator or any other megatruck or monster SUV, you’re making an announcement to the world. It’s not the announcement you think it is, though. It’s not about your wealth or your toughness or your masculinity. No, you’ve announced, very clearly, that you don’t care if you accidentally kill a stranger. You’re saying: “I’m totally cool with someone else dying because of a decision I made.”
I’m not saying you’re a murderer if you own a gigantic truck. I’m saying you’re a manslaughterer . If you do kill a person, it won’t be because you carefully planned it. It’ll happen totally by accident, and you’ll be horrified. The person you kill, if it happens, won’t be some jerk who wronged you. They won’t deserve it at all. Heck, there’s a solid chance it’ll be a toddler.
Does this make you feel bad? It should!
Your giant car, study after study shows, is remarkably dangerous to pedestrians. The heavier a car, the more likely it is to kill a pedestrian if it strikes them. And trucks and SUVs are getting heavier: New pickups weigh 24 percent more than they did in 2000 , according to Consumer Reports, and these days big cars regularly exceed 4,000 pounds. Let’s not even talk about the new generation of electric vehicles, like the Hummer EV, which thanks to its immense batteries weighs more than 9,000 pounds . You ever nail someone with one of those, hoo boy! They’ll need to pry ’em off the road with a crowbar.
Your car is also really tall, and that makes it more dangerous, too. A grille that’s more than 50 inches off the ground—as tall as the roof of my Honda Civic—makes it more likely that a pedestrian will be struck in the head by a collision. Big trucks are also more likely to push a pedestrian under the tires, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, something that increases the likelihood of a fatality. Those big, road-handling tires you love so much? They’ll also do a great job handling some middle schooler’s torso.
But I’m a good driver! you say. That’s great! Unfortunately, the very act of driving a huge truck makes you a worse driver—that is, a less safe one. According to Consumer Reports , pickups and the like perform worse than other cars in emergency handling and braking tests. And trucks are less likely to be sold standard with advanced safety features like automatic braking and pedestrian detection.
Plus, those tall grilles create enormous blind spots, ones so big that when you’re behind the wheel you might not be able to see a pedestrian, a whole-ass Corvette , or half a kindergarten class . And kids are the most vulnerable to that blind spot: Most victims of “frontover” deaths—in which a pedestrian in a front blind spot is struck and killed in a driveway or parking lot—are between the ages of 12 and 23 months. Eighty percent of those deaths since 1990 involved a truck, van, or SUV, according to the advocacy group KidsAndCars.org . Maybe you think that i
