I was disappointed when I tried RL Blue. I remember having a fondness for the scent in its original form, but not now. The opening is both sharp and sour. The dry down is weak. Some of the notes remind me of J’adore and I don’t experience anything that makes it blue.

Cool Water Sensual Essence by Davidoff is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Cool Water Sensual Essence was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Nathalie Lorson. Top notes are Red Berries and Bergamot; middle notes are Frangipani and Orchid; base notes are Vanilla, Woodsy Notes and Musk.
The fragrance evokes the flavors of salt and sea on warm skin and the atmosphere of a beach sunset. Perfumer Nathalie Lorson tried to achieve this with notes of exotic flowers and vanilla. The top accords of the composition are bergamot and red fruits that lead to the floral heart of orchid and frangipani. The base rounds the fragrance with aromas of vanilla, musk and woods.

Okay, now about the product I am going to review today – Davidoff Cool Water Sensual Essence for Women. Davidoff is a reputed brand in the field of perfumes, but for people who have no idea about this brand, let me give you all a quick introduction:
Davidoff family actually started off with a tobacco goods house founded by Henry Davidoff. They then shifted base to Switzerland from Russia and expanded their brand into perfumes, leather goods and accessories in the 1980s. The first fragrance introduced by the company was Davidoff for Men, in 1984. The Davidoff brand achieved remarkable success with the introduction of Cool Water, one of the first in the Aromatic Aquatic fragrance category. Designer Davidoff has 56 fragrances under his base. The earliest edition was created in 1984 and the newest is from 2014.
Davidoff Cool Water Sensual Essence for Women.
This was gifted to my mum by her brother, so I did not know the price, but I googled it and found the price to be approximately Rs.1800 for 50 ml and Rs. 3800 for 100 ml. You can also find the 100 ml version online for approximately Rs. 2700 😀 The one I am reviewing here is the 50 ml one.
Since its launch in 1996, Cool Water woman represents the irresistible natural femininity of a mermaid coming out of the blue ocean. Davidoff Cool Water Sensual Essence was launched in 2012. It expresses another facet of this femininity, adding glamour and sensuality. On the horizon the light is shimmering in the waves, glamorous and seductive. She is sexy and radiant, naturally attracting the light on her skin. With her sensuality, she unveils her power of seduction, basking in the sun on the sand and enjoying the sunset. The fragrance evokes the flavors of salt and sea on warm skin and the atmosphere of a beach sunset.

As I said earlier, this was a gift for my mum. 😛 But I use it too sometimes 😀 Such an advantage of having my maamu and dad both working abroad *hihi* Okay, now first about the packaging!! *happy dance* The box emphasizes glamour and has a very sun-inspired theme with golden shades. The box has a mirror finish and I love it. 😀 You can actually see it in the pictures 😛 Now the bottle!! It is such a cute bottle I tell you!! I just love loooove it!! ♥ It’s a signature-shaped curvy bottle and looks so feminine. It is golden in color. The cap is transparent and closes with a beautiful click. I love how it feels when I hold it in my hand, very handy I must say. This is the kind of perfume which you can carry when you are travelling. *happy dance* This bottle definitely goes into my set of collectibles *cheers* Now, about the fragrance!! It smells of exotic flowers and vanilla! The top notes are Bergamot and red fruits with floral heart of orchid and frangipani. The base has aromas of vanilla, musk and woods.
Now, Bergamot is a fragrant fruit the size of an orange, with a yellow color similar to a lemon. It is used in perfumery and it also has uses in aromatherapy as a digestive aid. Frangipani is a flowering plant and is used in perfumery too. This flower has a story to it as well. Local folk believe they provide shelter to ghosts and demons. *that is the funniest thing I have heard* No, don’t be scared.
It’s safe *hihi* The liquid is colourless and leaves no stain on the clothes. The fragrance is not overpowering, it is very balanced. It can be worn for work, college, date or any other occasion. I love how mesmerizing the fragrance is. It is mild but at the same time you can’t ignore how sensuous it smells.
Now about the staying power, I spray 3-4 spritz of it in the morning and the smell lingers on for a good 7-8 hours . At the end of the day, it settles down to a very musky fragrance. On the whole, it is a must for the ones who love vanilla fragrance! 😀 And if you’re a sucker for collecting cute perfumes bottles like me, then do give it a try 😛 Davidoff Cool Water is a perfume you just can’t ignore! *happy dance*
Will I Repurchase Davidoff Cool Water Sensual Essence Eau de Parfum?
Yes! I would repurchase it. I love how mild it is and still leaves a lasting impression *happy dance* I would definitely recommend it to ladies who love mild perfumes. It is very balanced and since it’s a linear fragrance, it’s definitely worth a try and ladies who buy perfumes for the beautiful bottles, it’s a must-have! 😛
