A male model blackmailed Cindy Crawford with a photograph of her seven-year-old daughter gagged and tied to a chair.
Edis Kayalar allegedly told the 43-year-old supermodel he would hand the image to the media unless she gave him £60,000.
The photo had been taken by a nanny during a children's game at the family home in Los Angeles, according to court papers filed by the FBI.

Kayalar, a 26-year-old German, is believed to be in Stuttgart following his deportation from the U.S. three months ago for a visa offence.
The FBI is in touch with the authorities in Berlin with a view to extraditing him on a single charge of extortion.
The photo is thought to have been taken earlier this year and shows Miss Crawford's daughter Kaia 'in revealing clothing, bound to a chair and gagged'.
Kaia told her parents, who had not known of the photo, that it was taken playing cops and robbers.
The nanny who took the picture had also written a note saying: 'The baby sitter went crazy and tied everyone up and they need your help! Please.'
She said she had taken the photo as a prank and was going to post it and the note on the front door of the family's home, according to the affidavit.
The nanny, whose name has not been released, is not under suspicion. She was fired a week before Kayalar made his demand and details of her relationship with him were unclear last night. According to the legal documents filed at the U.S. district court in Los Angeles, Kayalar stole the photo and note from her.
The German allegedly started threatening Miss Crawford and her businessman husband Rande Gerber in July. He initially said he wanted to return the photo because he was 'a good person and didn't want to see it land in the tabloids'.
Mr Gerber later met Kayalar at a bar and was shown a copy of the image. He handed the model £600 'for his trouble' and was given the photograph in return.

But Kayalar is then said to have made further demands on the basis of having further copies.
He called Miss Crawford and Mr Gerber from Germany on November 1 and threatened to sell or release the photo.
Kayalar said he 'was not trying to destroy a little girl's life, but the release of the photograph was not going to be something positive for the victims' image,' according to the court documents.
He would face up to two years in prison if convicted of extortion.
Last night, Miss Crawford's spokesman Annett Wolf issued a statement saying: 'Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter.'
The model, who divorced Richard Gere in 1995, married Mr Gerber in 1998, and they live in Malibu, California.
Their daughter is now eight. They also have a son, Presley, who is ten.
