They will cook for them and make them eat their veggies too. In psychology, we are taught that men unconsciously look for women that resemble how their mom is. Unconsciously, men look for women who will take care of them like their mom did. Well, this is something that Filipina women are known all over the world for. They are motherly. Whether they are still a girlfriend or already their wives, Filipinas will naturally be motherly to you. And this is one trait that men all over the world love about the Filipino women.
Next up – men like women who can stand up on their own and not needy but at the same time will make them feel superior and never emasculate them. This is rare, actually. Not a lot of women can be both independent and make their men feel superior. But then again, Filipinas are. This comes to them naturally. The thing is that Filipinas are very traditional. They take to heart the fact that the men should take the lead in a relationship. They grow up looking for the men that will depend on making decision for their future family. But this doesn’t stop them from reaching their dreams. If they have dreamed to be a business woman, then they will be a business woman. If they dreamed to be an airplane pilot, then they will do their best to be an airplane pilot. But in love and dating, they will be the submissive ones. They will make sure that their men will lead and that they will be the ones to keep the family together while they do that. This is how Filipinas are. This is why there plenty of men that are looking to be into Filipina dating and marriage.
Technically, we date because we are in search for the person who we will be spending our lives with. Around the world, Filipina dating is known to be one of the best. Filipina women are conservative and traditional, this is true. This is why they grow up training to be great wives. They are loyal and faithful and god fearing as well. These are but some traits that men really love about Filipinas and this is why there are more and more men are Filipina dating – and marrying – these days.

Mini-Olympics Are More Fun With Larong Pinoy. It's A Team-Building
Sports Fest Where Young And Old Employees Can Play.

IT'S FUN. IT'S CHALLENGING. AND IT BREATHES YOUTHFUL BONDING AMONG EMPLOYEES.

In the past, basketball and other ballgames are
organized and only a few people to play --- mostly the younger employees. But
now, both young and old employees play together with the Traditional Filipino street
games in an exciting mini-Olympics format. And company sports fests come alive.

Human Resource Department heads have discovered the benefits
of using the Filipino games as sports fest platform: it does not only bring
fun, but creates warm camaraderie among employees --- making them feel like
childhood playmates.

Magna Kultura conducts the sports fest like a real
Olympics event, which gives employees the grand feeling of being in a
professional arena. The games are
officiated by referees and marshals using the Official Tournament Rules
instituted by Magna Kultura Foundation, the national advocate of the Filipino
Games.

In organizing the company sports fest, Magna Kultura partners
with the HRD and Sports Committee; internally making the event a team-building
activity within the company. Teams are
formed with Team Captains, co-captains and even playing Coaches for each and
every game. Game manuals are provided by
Magna Kultura, along with team line-up sheets and other vital tournament
materials.

Games like Patintero, Tumbang Preso, Luksong Tinik,
Luksong Lubid, and other Pinoy Games are as challenging as any Western
sport. It requires agility, skills, and
strategy. Employees match players against other
department teams. Even cheer chants are
created to rally team spirit. And, just
by being Filipino, makes it more fun.

As employees plan and practice the games, a team-building
atmosphere is created inside the offices.
The employee bonding solidly permeates that, even if they don’t win on
the day of the event, they become satisfied with the friendship they have built
in the process.

Organizing

Larong Pinoy Sports Fest for Private companies is a cultural
entrepreneurship approach of Magna Kultura to revive the games among
Filipino adults; to build camaraderie the Filipino way (kababata); at
the same, for adult-parents to teach the games among their children.

The Traditional Filipino Street Games continues
to be a favorite sports fest activity for local companies. Private business
corporations continues to request Magna Kultura Foundation (the national
proponent of the games) to organize the Larong Pinoy event as a company sports
fest activity.

This year, over a hundred companies
organized Larong Pinoy mini-Olympics. Among the latest companies that played the
Filipino games are: Asian Development Bank (ADB), Nissan Motors, Red Ribbon,
United Coconut Planters Bank, Cocolife, the Dept of Health, Punongbayan &
Araullo, Panasonic, Equicom Group of Companies, Eagle Cement, Chevron Phils., Ahnex
Builders, and many others.

Human Resource Department heads saw the
Filipino Street Games as an effective instrument for employee bonding. Indeed, the games are able to make employees
from different departments easily get acquainted with each other; and, like
childhood playmates, the bonding experience goes beyond weeks, even months,
after the event.

The Larong Pinoy Sports Fest event
excites employees into doing things that they did in the childhood days,
especially the elder adults. From day one, after HRD announces Larong
Pinoy as the sports fest activity, the office environment become high on
enthusiasm; making employees talk about the games, their childhood experience,
and even practicing within the office. It brings the corporate community alive.

In the past, most companies have been
doing the regular basketball, volleyball and badminton events, until Human
Resource Department staff discovered the fun experience that Larong could
bring; on top of the teambuilding capability it can offer. And what makes the Larong
Pinoy sports fest even unique is that Magna Kultura Foundation organizes it like
a real “Olympics event”, with professional tournament system and officiating,
with live annotation and hosting, with team captains, torch relays, and all the
works. And, amidst all these, the HRD staff and sports committee can play on
the event day without the hassle of running the company event.

Amidst the modern age of computers and
high-tech gadgets, Magna Kultura Foundation has been implementing Larong Pinoy
sports clinics and tournaments in schools and Barangay communities since
Y-2003.

When local Filipino corporations started requesting Magna Kultura to
organize company sportsfests for employees, the foundation saw it as an
opportunity to advocate the games among adults; to make the adults
fellow-advocates for ‘promoting’ the games among their children.

The advocacy to promote "Laro ng
Lahi" is a timely crusade amidst the age of globalization. The traditional
Filipino Games is a cultural treasure that is cherished by many Filipino to
this day. It is not true that it is no longer played by
children, as some would say that it has vanished in Philippine society in the
age of computers and high-tech gadgets. In many urban and rural areas, a great
majority of Filipino children still play outdoor street games as most of them
are still unable to own expensive high-tech gadgets.

Larong Pinoy is very
much alive in the Philippines. And now that many companies are playing the
games, the revival becomes stronger. The adults are playing the games again, and
using it to make friendships in their company come alive. Thus, using the games to build the company's culture.

This is our games. This our
culture. Let us keep it alive, even in the modern age, because this is
what makes us stand as a Filipino race. Preserve and advocate things
that are FILIPINO.

While you may think that Philippine games (commonly known as Larong Pinoy) are mostly about running around chasing people, they are not. If you are not really someone with that much stamina, you should engage in many of the Filipino indoor games.
Many of these indoor games are played by certain regions in the country, so when you ask someone, they may not be familiar with a particular game. While Philippine games are usually popular with children, traditional indoor games are more popular with teens and adults. Here are a few interesting indoor games you might like to play to pass the time.
This Larong Pinoy is played by drawing a circle on the floor or a board. You place a shell in the middle of the board. Each player takes turns in trying to make the shell move out of the circle. To do this, they would use shells and attack by placing the shell in between the upper parts of the forefinger and thumb and tossing it forward the shell, similar to how a marble is thrown.
Tablita makes use of a 26-square diagram (the corner boxes are taken out). Each player has copper disks and they toss the copper disks into the air to land in the square diagram. If the player’s disk lands on a line, he does not score a point. To score, the copper disk must sit perfectly inside the square. The player with the most number of copper disks inside the square wins the game.
Cara-cruz is a Larong Pinoy that is very popular with adults. While this is an indoor game, it can be played on the streets too. Basically, it is a heads or tails coin guessing game. While gambling is prohibited in the Philippines, many adults play cara-cruz to pass time. Most of them also place bets but since you are betting coins, there’s really not much profit for winning.
Birachapa is a variation of cara-cruz. Instead of tossing the coin in the air, the mediator will spin the coin on the ground. As it slowly stops, he will place a coconut shell on top of it. People will then bet on whether it is heads or tails.
Dama is a very popular indoor game. Many people who stay outside their houses (I usually see this game being played at tricycle terminals) also play this. Dama is basically checkers. You may apply the rules of checkers here where you go diagonal and take your opponent’s pieces as you pass them. There is also another version of this Larong Pinoy. In this version, you would allow your opponents to take your piece. It means that if they can take it, they cannot avoid it. The first player who loses all his pieces wins the game.
Bingo is so popular that you can even see this being played in the malls now. This is one of the favorite Filipino past times. The same American rules apply to this game. A number is drawn and players cross out the numbers that have been called on their card. They win if they complete a particular BINGO pattern.
Sungka is one of the oldest board games played in the Philippines. It uses a sungkaan, a wooden table-like structure with 16 shallow holes. Each side has 7 holes and the end has 2 bigger holes. Each of the seven holes on each side gets 7 shells each. The first player usually selects the second hole closest to the enemy’s bigger hole and starts distributing one shell for each of the next holes. Then, he would end up with one shell on his empty hole, after which he would choose another part to distribute. Each time he takes a particular hole to empty so he could distribute the shells, he would pass on his side of the hole to bring in more shells. If the last shell happens to stop on the enemy’s holes, the other side would take turns. In the case that he stops on an empty hole on his side (not the big one), and that empty hole has one shell, he would take the opposite hole shells for his own. The objective of the game is simple – fill your own side of the big hole with more shells.
There are many more interesting Larong Pinoy in the Philippines. Whether you are an active outdoor person or a mellow indoor person, you can surely engage in these games for fun.

So you are interested in knowing how to win the hearts of those exotic Asian Filipinas? Let me first start by saying-good choice! Filipinas are known to be caring, lovable, gentle and romantic women (not that Western women are not but Filipinas are just more). Perhaps it’s these qualities that seem to draw men to them especially foreigners. I have heard many ‘speculations’ as to how to reach the hearts of these women but the bottom line is above anything else, they are women. The same good old tricks that you learned back in high school will still get you a few points with them. Still let’s set your expectations right.
One thing to remember about Filipina women is they are not as liberated as the women you may be used to dating. Although frankly, I believe that their values have gone down since the time of Spanish colonization and many once thought ‘taboos’ are now accepted, (ie. You will find women in extremely short skirts roaming the streets at night) they are still (or want to be viewed as) conservative.
Conservative I say? Putting it bluntly, if you are seriously dating a Filipina woman, you shouldn’t expect to get her to bed on your first date. In fact, be thankful if she even allows a goodnight kiss when the night is over. Note the use of ‘seriously dating’-off course there are women who like anywhere else are just after so called ‘one night stands’ but if you really like the girl and she knows it, don’t expect anything more than a ‘thank you’.
Next point, mi amigo, is that these women are gentle and expect to be treated likewise. If you are not used to treating women like queens and princesses, then you may be ruining your chances with Filipinas. The bottom line is they love to be pampered, showered upon with little gifts, showed concern-you get the idea. Not to forget opening of doors-the entire gentleman charade will do wonders if you are dating a Filipina.
Filipinas are very family-oriented. This goes beyond the mere getting together on holidays or special occasions- she probably still stays with her family and siblings up to now. I would suggest thinking of your courtship as not only directed to her but to her family. Yes guys, you have to court her family as well and do the same things (not literally) you would for her such as the giving of gifts etc. In as much as this sucks-especially if you get the feeling that you are not wanted, it is a must. Win her family’s heart and you will win hers. Break her family’s heart, and believe me, no matter how much she likes you, she will not hesitate to dump you.
I don’t know if my next observation can apply to ALL Filipinas as such but in my opinion, they like to play ‘hard to get’. They aren’t showy and may even give the impression of not being interested or not appreciating whatever you did. They love to act ‘cool and collected’ and when it gets too much, you may find them excusing themselves to the comfort room where they can jump for joy at the sweet thing
you did for them. I guess it’s a way of ‘testing’ how interested you are, whether you will give up or continue despite the hard time she is giving you. Truth is, in the end, when (if) you finally do win, they will be the sweetest girlfriends you’ve ever had.
Something else I think that is worth noting is the fact that as the man, you will be expected to shell out the money and pay the bills. Yes, I know this is supposed to be basic dating etiquette but when dating Filipina women, it will be an insult to expect her to pay for the bill-during the dating/courtship stage at least. So please, please do not make her pay for anything!
Although I will not conclude this article by saying that Filipino women are the best, or that Filipina dating is a challenge- I will say this: your efforts will be worthwhile. Once she’s your girl, she’ll treat you like a King and you’ll wonder why oh why you didn’t meet her earlier.
Filipinas are pleasers and theyre also easy to please at the same time. Just be romantic, generous, and kind and youll get her heart
