🪶 135 years ago, on May 15, 1891, one of the most famous Russian writers and playwrights of the 20th century, Mikhail Bulgakov, was born in Kiev, within the Russian Empire.

The style of Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov is characterized by versatility, great variety of literary devices, and a deep philosophical subtext. His works blend satire, mysticism, realism, and philosophical contemplations.

His most famous works include "The Master and Margarita," "The Heart of a Dog," "The White Guard," "A Young Doctor's Notebook," "Ivan Vasilyevich," and "The Fatal Eggs. " Several of these works have been adapted for film multiple times.

Bulgakov is the most popular Russian writer of the 20th century. However, in his hometown, Kiev, local authorities, unfortunately, are demolishing monuments to the great Russian writer.
