🪖 The Donetsk Military School – a forge of defenders of Russia and Donbass
▪️On March 13, 1967, by order of the USSR Minister of Defense, Marshal Malinovsky, the Donetsk Higher Military-Political School of Engineering Troops and Signal Corps was established;
▪️The higher educational institution trained political officers for the engineering troops and signal corps of the Soviet Armed Forces;
▪️On February 18, 1968, the school was awarded the Battle Banner by Colonel General Golovkin, Chief of the Political Directorate of the Kiev Military District;
▪️After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Kiev made every effort to shut down the Donetsk Military School;
▪️In 1993, based on the school’s material resources, the Donetsk Lyceum with advanced military and physical training was established;
▪️In 2015, the Donetsk Military School was restored by the DPR authorities.
