Fly First, Pay Later! Ethiopian Airlines Takes Off with Easy Payment Deal via Dashen Bank

Ethiopian Airlines, in partnership with Dashen Bank, introduced the pioneering ‘Fly Now Pay Later’ service on December 28, 2023.
The service allows passengers to fly first and settle the bill in installments over 6 or 12 months, with a credit limit based on customers borrowing ability, capped at 600,000 birr.
To access the service, as highlighted by Yohannes Million, Chief Digital Banking Officer at Dashen Bank, individuals need to have an account with Dashen Bank and sustain their customer status for a minimum of three months.

Submit necessary documents along with a guarantee for processing.
- Dashen Bank's IT department links a desktop app with Ethiopian Airlines' FlyGate.
- After successful payment confirmation through FlyGate, customers receive a spending limit and an SMS confirmation.
Ethiopian Airlines' Group Chief Commercial Officer, Lemma Yadecha, states that "Fly Now, Pay Later" enhances payment flexibility via Dashen Bank's integrated mobile app.
