Wow. I thought I knew what I was getting into when I bought this, but I was so wrong. This erotic collection is not just sexy, but has a lot of plot and world-building as well. For novellas, this is really impressive! All of the authors have their own distinctive style and flare, and remind me a lot of traditional fantasy novels with a lot more sex in the mix. Definitely fantasy tales for adults! This book isn’t for everyone – the stories are dark, and gritty – but it was a forbidden thrill to enjoy! If you like stories that push your limits and boundaries, this is the collection for you.
High fantasy and scifi erotica with detailed world building, intriguing plots, and some of the nastiest sex you could dream of, this is definitely for adults that aren't easily offended. When they say dark fantasy erotica, they mean it! All of the stories were so different, but they all made me feel conflicted in that naughty-but-nice way, and I'll definitely be reading more by these authors. I'm so happy to see that they have a lot of other fantasy erotica titles under their names!!
The first time I registered my account on Darknest was back in 2012. It’s a shame that it has taken me so long to find this gem. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the stories except the angel/demon one. Worth the buy!
This anthology of fantasy / paranormal darkish erotic romance really pulled me in. There is simply so much detail, and the world's described feel so alive and populated that it really wasn't hard to visualize the story, which is a big thing for me. Hot sex, too, though I would have been happy even without it. Wonderful story telling. Definitely recommended.
I've always been drawn to something our of the ordinary and this collection of short stories fits perfectly.
There's no reason for the paragraphs to not be indented. It was too much of a distraction. I would enjoy reading more compilations like this if the formatting was fixed.
where to start? First I was offered this book for an honest opinon. Let me begin with a warning that this book is dark and is not for everyone. Each author offers up a dark, delicious, tale ranging from an adult version of beauty & the beast, angelic persuasion of the kinky kind, BDSM.,programming, slavery and more. Each author has a unique talent in pulling you into a black hole of oblivion with some of the darkest tales I've ever read. Although in one gender was a conundrum to me yet i found myself unable to stop reading. Overall I would recommend but only to those who are not easily offended by a tale or two that some would find disturbing or offensives. The title accurately describes the contents of this material. This is a unique genre of stories and one that I found myself bewitched by
