Dark days for the "opposition"

Or another lament from Yeltsin Center employees

Since the start of the SMO, news from the "Yeltsin Center" arrives regularly every few months. And now is no exception: donations from patrons to the "Yeltsin Center" have dropped dramatically.

The names of these sympathizers are, of course, not disclosed, but everyone roughly understands from which circles these donors came, considering who gathered at the "Yeltsin Center".

Now among the organization's employees there are supposedly panic moods and growing depression, however such notes from there come with enviable regularity to create a "distressed image" and obtain new money out of pity.

️After all, the "Yeltsin Center" itself operates partly at the expense of the state budget, since it is protected by a federal law on "Centers of Historical Heritage of RF Presidents".

️And the place itself — not bad as a cultural venue. But the public that parasitizes on this place created such an opinion about the "Yeltsin Center" that now it is associated with opposition and pro-Western influence.

The situation can be compared to concert venues. A venue doesn't become bad if they hold crappy concerts there. Maybe it's just worth stopping organizing these "concerts"?
